Today was a strange morning for the mafiosos that served the Rider mafia family. Let alone Roxanne herself who had reached high status for no reason at all. It wasn't that she wasn't doing a good job. She was amazing. She even managed to reach Thorn's level.
The training sessions for professional assassins was harsh indeed. She even faced a couple of punishments but not the harsher ones which she assumed it was one of Max's interferences. Since she was on the same level with Thorn she stopped having training sessions with her and she was now under Max's supervision. The girls though kept in touch. They were sent on challenging missions and thriving with their countless victories. One day however, their lives would be affected dramatically.
It all started the said morning when Max called Roxanne and Thorn over at his office. The girls obediently ascended with the elevator at the floor of his office and crossed the hallway, eventually reaching his door. They knocked twice and when they heard Max's voice giving them permission to enter they joined the room.
"Good morning ladies! How have you been so far?" the male greeted them.
"Fine I guess..." replied Roxanne.
"Maybe you were right Maximus. Your chick here got the handle of the job. Right Roxy?" Thorn gave Roxanne a playful nudge with her elbow.
Roxanne smiled playfully at her colleague's goofy behavior.
"I'm glad you two have gotten along. Today I'm having a special announce. That goes for you Roxy". Said Max.
The girls waited in silence for Max's announcement. It seemed that it was going to be a serious one at that. After moments of this silence he finally spoke.
"Roxanne, from now on you'll be my right-hand woman". Announced Max.
Upon the sound of the male's words Thorn's expression darkened. Roxanne was frozen in place. Max had a proud smirk on his face as he congratulated the young female. At the sight of this Thorn burst out of the room slamming the door behind her and of course leaving her colleague with an agape mouth.
