It had been about one hour since the mission had began. The sounds of guns and firearms never paused. The battle screams echoached everywhere inside and out of the warehouse. Roxanne and her teammates had completed the checking for any potential danger. They did encounter some guards but they were no big deal.

Right now they were waiting just outside the main entrance of the warehouse. Since the doors were open they could watch the battle. Max and Thorn could be recognized within the fiasco. Max was either fighting with his bare hands or with his gun. The male was clearly a pro as he made all those impressive dodges. Thorn's fighting skills could be recognized as well since she was fighting with two riffles. The woman would slaughter whoever got in her way.

Roxanne could not stand this. She did not accept having everyone fighting and experiencing all this adrenaline while she stayed out of this. The rest of the mafiosos who stayed out felt the same annoyance but they tried their best to keep their cool. Roxanne though could not. She grabbed her revolver and dashed in the fiasco before any of her teammates could catch her.

The young woman was finally in the battlefield. She felt the adrenaline raise. The smell of blood and the sound of screams gave her an unexplainable pleasure. She would be lucky if Thorn or Max didn't recognize her.

She dashed through the crowded space of the warehouse shooting whoever got in her way with her revolver. She enjoyed it. However, her bullets ended soon and the team wasn't halfway over with the enemy.

"Fuck!" she growled as she hit her foot on the ground angrily.

Since Roxanne was too absorbed I'm refilling her revolver she hadn't noticed a bunch of enemies approaching her. As the men were about to attack her Thorn spotted them. She quickly rushed to the spot Roxanne was standing and shot the enemies for good. At the sight of Thorn Roxanne gulped.

"Didn't we tell you to stay outside!?" she snapped.

"Sorry Candace, I couldn't resist the urge". Roxanne tried to justify herself.

"This is no fun Roxy! Do you realize that you're in danger right now!?"

"Behind you!" screamed Roxanne and she kicked one of the enemies.

Thorn was surprised by her friend's move.

"I'm not that rusty am I?" asked Roxanne with a teasing smirk.

Thorn gave up and continued with the battle.

"Just be careful and don't let the boss see you". She advised and then ran away towards another enemy.

For the next few minutes Roxanne was fighting with her bare hands. She didn't suck at all when it came to combat.

"I guess my training didn't go on waste". She thought.

At least half of the enemies were taken down. There were people lost from both sides. Everyone was getting exhausted. Even Max started to slowly give up.

The time passed. The sounds of guns and battle screams was decreasing and the enemies were lessening. Roxanne was tired. Thorn was tired. So tired that she hasn't noticed one of the enemies aiming at her behind her back. Roxanne however had noticed this. She started running towards her friend. Once the sound of the gun echoached she jumped to cover Thorn taking the bullet.

"Roxy! No!" Thorn's screams echoached through the warehouse at the sight of her wounded friend.

She instantly kneeled down next to her and cradled her in her arms. Max who had heard the screams turned around and came across the horrifying sight.

"What the fuck!?" he cried and rushed to the scene.

The battle immediately came to a pause. Everyone's eyes were on the injured Roxanne who was coughing blood.

"Why the fuck would you jump in front of a bullet you idiot!?" cried Thorn as her eyes were getting watery.

"She did what now!?" asked Max in surprise and horror as he kneeled down at the opposite side of Thorn.

"As if I'd let you die..." Roxanne tried to speak but she ended up coughing more blood.

"Do you realize what you've done you stupid chick!?" Thorn cried more.

"We should call an ambulance!" suggested Max. "Someone call an ambulance!" he screamed. His eyes were filling with tears too.

"Max, there's no need to-" Roxanne was cut by more coughing.

"We can't let you die like this Roxanne! I can't let you die like this! An ambulance quickly!" Max screamed again until one of the mafiosos obeyed.

"Stay with us Roxy... stay with me..." whispered Thorn not able to hold her tears now.

Roxanne's eyes were slowly giving up. Her breath was becoming rigid and her eye sight was blurry. Suddenly everything went black.
