"I'll arrange a wedding with Roxanne son!" announced Leonard to a wide eyed Max with an agape mouth.
"Father! How can you be alive!?"
"That's none of your business son. I'm not here to talk about how I survived the deadly hit but to make your dreams come true! Isn't Roxanne the one you wanted? Then you'll have her!"
"Father! That's not what she wants! I understand that she doesn't feel the same! I don't wanna pressure her!" Max tried to explain but he was cut by his father.
"Looks like you were well spoiled while I was gone. Did you enjoy your life without me!? Without your abusive father that tells you what to do?" Leonard spoke with a tone of wrath and fury.
At those words Max's confidence disappeared. The young man lowered his head and surrendered to his father's will.
"Now who's a good boy?" Leonard gave his son a head pat. "And now I'll make the arrangements for your engagement party with the woman you love oh so much!" he added ironically.
"Does Roxanne at least know about this?" asked Max in concern.
Leonard let out a chuckle of malice.
"Of course she does. She's not happy about it either. I'm sure your ex wife will add logic in that stupid feminine head of hers".
Max's eyes widened once again.
"Lizzy is here!?"
"Why, of course! Did you think I'd do this all alone?"
"Oh father what have you done?"
Roxanne was sat on the king-sized bed in the bedroom of the Riders mansion with Lizzy by her side.
"It won't be that bad Roxy I promise". The blondie was trying to convince her to accept her marriage with Max. "Besides I told you, you're going to pay".
"This was all your doing to get rid of me is that right?" asked Roxanne with a tone of melancholy.
Lizzy paused for a moment before she spoke again.
"You could say that. Don't tell me you have accepted your fate".
There was a moment of silence between the girls. Then Roxanne broke it.
"There's nothing else keeping me here anymore. It is what it is. Let's just get over with it".
Lizzy gave a simple nod. For some reason she started feeling sorry for the woman next to her. However, her greed would not leave her mind. She had to carry the plan till the end to get her husband back. Even if it meant hurting another innocent soul.
