John Jacobse was the uncle of Hope Jacobse from the Outings Club. I immediately didn't trust this man. We went into the security office, which was a lot nicer than I expected. It was bright and clean with modern decor that made it look closer to a police station from a movie than a campus security office.John led us to the back room with all the cameras. A security guard with bright red hair took one look at the three of us and instantly left the room.
While John fiddled with the computer, finding the footage, Emiel watched only me. I avoided Emiel's staring. There was a time when all I wanted was for him to look at me and only me. Even then, my heart skipped under his gaze. But the time for love and relationships was over. I needed some sort of justice.
"Here we go," John said, pulling up the footage. Of course, all he saw was us talking and then me completely freaking out and attacking Emiel, who then subdued me. John spun around in his chair to face us.
I shrunk a bit. "I know it looks bad but I swear to you..."
"I don't want to hear it," John snapped. He then clicked a button and the footage turned black.
I took a step back. "Did you delete the footage?"
"Em, keep your little boyfriend in line," John said with a shit eating grin. "If I had leaked this video... this kind of behavior could have gotten him expelled. I know how much he means to you. You owe me now, okay?"
Emiel glowered. "What would you like?"
I looked between the two of them. They didn't just know each other... they've had some deeper exchanges in the past than I could have imagined. The irritated familiarity was evident now. Campus security was a joke. First Emiel blackmailed the Student Life Coordinator, now this...
"Five minutes alone with your doll," John said. He sighed and leaned back in his chair. I shrank back even further.
Emiel rolled his eyes and brought out his cell phone. "Fine." He dialed someone up and said into the phone, "Come out to the security office and be nice to Hope's uncle for five minutes." He then hung up the phone. "Sylvia will be here soon."
"Happy to do business with you. I'll be here waiting."
Emiel grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the security office. I was so shocked and disturbed, I barely noticed. Sylvia was Emiel's lover. How can he just pimp her out like this? How could she let him?
Once outside, he released my hand and sighed. Emiel gazed back at the building, then at me. He actually looked like he would swing on me. Somehow, I felt more guilty than anything. Again, it was the same... This Emiel didn't do anything, yet. But who knows what he was capable of?
"You just sold out Sylvia," I said.
"And who's fault is that?" Emiel snapped. The veins in his forehead made themselves known. "Fuck Solomon... If you had just shut up with your nonsense, this could have been avoided."
"So it's my fault you are a pimp?"
"Yes! Of course it is! I had to protect you, didn't I? Or did you want to be expelled?"
"I don't fucking care about school! I just want to live!"
"I'm not going to hurt you! I haven't done anything wrong."
"Not yet," I snapped and then I ran. I ran away from him, and he let me go this time. Last life, Emiel was an entire stalker.
I have to stop him. I'm the only one that can. If campus security can't help me, then I will have to get help from the real deal.
I ran to my car and drove away from campus. I went right to the police station in Javernick Hills.
