- I hope this is to your liking, Rey says. After tying up my first orientation, Rey shows me around campus some more and brings me to a private room.

- I expect to see you back at the orientation room in the morning. We'll decide which dorm you'll join then, Rey says.

- Got it, I say.

As soon as Rey leaves, I look around noticing that my suitcase has been neatly placed in the corner. Normally having the chance to stay in a room like this would be a dream come true, but...

- Even if I've accepted my fate, there's still so much to come to terms with, I say in my head. Slowly, I sink into the plush embrace of the bed, grabbing a pillow to squeeze for comfort.

- Why would mom hide the fact that I'm the daughter of Satan. I mean she'd tell me, right. If I were half-demon. Does this mean that I have special powers. I guess I'm going to be the queen soon. Still, I have no experience. Then there's the whole marriage arrangement, I say in my head. The demons I met come to mind, but the one that lingers is Adal. He's easy to anger, but he is handsome. Maybe there's more to him than meets the eye. A blush rises to my cheeks at the thought of marrying him. Or any of them for that matter. Eventually, I begin to daydream about what my life might be like from now on.

- This bed is pretty comfy, I say in my head. I soon drift off to sleep.

Suddenly, I'm roused awake by a knock on my door.

- Huh. It's morning already, I whisper.

- Are you awake, Princess, Draco asks.

- I am now, I yell. I get up and open the door to see Draco waiting for me.

- May I come in. I was hoping to spend some time with you before the day starts, Draco says.

- That's so sweet. Draco is the kindest and most reserved one of the bunch, maybe this is my chance to get to know him better, I say in my head.

- Sure, I say. He steps in, looking around.

- Ah, they gave you this room. How do you like it, Draco asks.

- It's great, actually. Once I got into bed last night, I immediately fell asleep, I say. Draco nods, as if satisfied.

- It's the least his school can do for the princess, Draco says. I sit on the edge of my bed, urging Draco to take the chair at the vanity.

- So you wanted to spend some time with me. That's really nice of you, I say. He nods.

- Of course. I wanted to make sure that our princess made it through the night. I promise, Princess, I won't let anything happen to you. If you need anything, come straight to me, alright, Draco asks. When Draco beholds me with his unusual cold gaze, I can't help but feel a little fuzzy inside. The slight tinge of pink on his face doesn't go unnoticed either.

- He seems so genuine. I can hardly believe he's a demon. But is it only because I'm the princess, I ask in my head.

- Hey, Draco. Why are you so considerate, I ask. He tilts his head curiously.

- That's an unusual thing to ask, Daro says.

- Well, you're a demon. Aren't demons supposed to be. You know, malicious. Unless this is your way of convincing me to marry you, I say. Warmth spreads across my cheeks while I look down at my lap.

- You're, um, doing a slightly good job, I guess, I say. When I sneak a glance at Draco, I see that his slight blush has deepened. He clears his throat and looks away.
