Once news broke out about the fall of Satan the next day, everyone was in an uproar. As the ambassador of Darkfire Academy, Adal arranged a meeting for all to attend. Rey and the other prefects gather before the announcement, planning their actions.
- This is the perfect time to stand up for myself and participate. I'm sure if I go up and talk to everyone, it'll affect how everyone views me, I say in my head.
- Adal. I volunteer to go up and speak on your behalf, I say.
- You. I doubt you're ready for something like that, Adal says. I shake my head.
- It's about time that everyone got to know me. They need to see that I'm capable of handling things. Especially when my dad is involved in this, I say.
- That's very brave of you, Princess. Adal, perhaps you should give her a chance, Draco asks. Adal grumbles.
- Whatever. At least they'll be going after you, not me, Adal says.
Everyone is huddled together in a big crowd, looking at Adal as he speaks from the podium.
- I know you all have questions, so I'm here to answer them. Our king, Satan, is still alive, but in poor condition. We are unaware of who attacked him, or why. I know things have been quite chaotic but this shouldn't have an effect on our daily lives. To explain the rest, I have the Princess of Darkness herself, Adal says. He steps away, giving me the spotlight. I swallow hard, walking in front of the crowd. Immediately, I hear demons booing at my appearance.
- Silence, Adal yells. He yells loud enough to stop the insults immediately, though I can hear whispers and scoffing.
- If I hear any other unnecessary comments, Adal says. He cracks his knuckles, glaring at the various culprits.
- I'll deal with you myself, Adal says. I stare in awe at Adal. Then he turns to me, and I bow my head in thanks. I step onto the podium, finding it hard to concentrate with all the sour stares.
- Hello, everyone. As you may know, I'm the daughter of Satan. In light of the rumors, I am indeed human. Um, half human. Although I've never met my father before, or even knew Hell existed like this, I say. I clench my fist, looking out of the crowd with a sudden spurt of determination.
- As the soon-to-be queen, I assure you that the person who went after Satan will pay for what they've done, I say. I hear some claps and cheers.
- I'm glad to have everyone in high spirits, but we're not finished. The barrier that separates our world from the human's is broken. Without our wall intact, humans can enter Hell with ease, Rey says. The room falls silent once again. There's a look of unease on everyone's faces.
- We are diligently working to prevent this from happening, Rey says. As I leave the podium with Rey, Adal steps up again.
- If you spot any suspicious activity, please inform any of the prefects. Now, to wrap things up. I want to make it known that if there are any reports of students harassing the princess, there will be extreme consequences, Adal says. His voice, however, is drowned out by all the commotion from the frantic students.
Our group disperses, walking away from the attention.
- I thought you would have escaped Hell now since the barrier is broken, Adal says.
- I can't leave. Hell needs me more than ever. I'm its future queen, after all, I say. His eyes widen in surprise before he smirks slightly.
- Alright, don't get cocky. I'm not even sure any of what I said got through to them, Adal says.
