"How about this one?" Minnie glanced up at me as she pointed at her computer screen. "This hotel looks really nice."

I shrugged as I took a large sip of my morning coffee. "That's really expensive."

"Yeah, but it's only a week, so it'll be like... three thousand?"

"That's a lot," I chuckled, setting the mug down so I could run my hands through my hair. "This is already gonna cost almost eight-"

"Whatever, okay?" She rolled her eyes and angrily tapped on the mousepad of her laptop. "We never even go out in the first place. So what does it even matter? I could ask my dad for money if we really need it."

"Or we could just find a cheaper hotel and not act like bums," I grinned, but judging by her scowl, she was very unamused.

"Don't you dare-"

A sharp knock at the door interrupted her complaints. She sighed and rose from her chair. "I'll get it," she grumbled.

I scootched closer to the computer screen, scrolling through the other hotel options. Of course, she'd chosen the most expensive option.

"...okay, I'll go get him for you," Minnie smiled to the stranger at the door, shutting it before she sped-walked back to the table. "There's a guy named Heeseung who wants to talk to you."

I nodded and set down my cup, and then completely halted once I'd registered the name.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she returned to her seat.

"Huh? Yeah...I was just thinking," I chuckled, scootching out of my chair and taking large strides towards the door.

"Heeseung?" I basically whispered as I stepped onto the front porch. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to talk to you," he answered with an odd smile. He pointed towards the door. "That was your wife?"

"Yeah..." I sighed, my eyes wandering onto the concrete steps.

"She's really hot," he grinned. "You must truly be gay if you aren't getting down with a woman like that."

"Shut up," I shushed him, stepping closer so I could lower my voice. "Can you keep it down, at least? Or just leave and we'll talk about this later?"

"That's pretty bold to say to a person who knows your secret."

I raised my brows and planted my hands on my hips, trying to appear unfazed. "What do you want, okay? I'm just trying to be careful."

"You don't make any sense," Heeseung scoffed, stuffing his hands into the back pockets of his dark jeans. At least he was speaking much lower now. "Are you trying to leave her or not?"
