Heeseung - March 5th, 2026

It's been about a week since I've last seen Jake, and boy, these days have quite been eventful.

The good news is that Jungwon and Jay are finally starting to act like an actual couple. You know, going out and doing things that normal relationships do. Bad news is that Sunoo and Sunghoon are now official.

Jay is a kind man who knows how to treat his partner properly. He knows how to take care of someone, and I couldn't really think of anyone better for my friend. Sunghoon, however, is the exact opposite. I despise that man.

Sunoo promised me he wouldn't get involved with him again. And since he chose to do so anyway, I figured I'd just try to keep my distance.

Jungwon's been out for most of the week, mainly over at Jay's hotel. Which is an odd change considering that they were perfectly fine banging at the apartment. But I'm not about to complain.

Today was yet another one of my days off. Which to my surprise, Jake remembered. I woke up this morning to a text from him asking if I'd like to come over to his place.

I agreed, of course. I'm just hoping that he's inviting me for...specific reasons. Regardless of what would happen, I would most likely be satisfied. I enjoy Jake's company, even if it's just to talk about random bullshit. I haven't had someone around me like that in years. Especially since my friends are starting to branch off into their own relationships, I can't keep clinging onto their coattails.

Jake sent me his address earlier and told me to come over at any point. As soon as I saw the message, I started getting ready. This time I put some real effort into my appearance. Choosing outfits for things like this was challenging. I wanted something that made me stand out but not something that looked like I was trying too hard. I was far too unprepared for this situation.

I ended up calling Jungwon, begging him for advice. Of course he was uncooperative, so that proved to be useless. I considered asking Sunoo, but I wasn't really interested in talking to him all that much right now.

So I stood there staring into my closet for a good ten minutes until I finally settled on something basic. If I got lucky, then my outfit would be on the floor anyways. It's not like it mattered.

Most of my effort fell onto my hair. I painstakingly styled it, and thankfully it chose to cooperate for once. It was perfectly fluffed, just the way I hoped it'd look.

I took a long, deep breath before I headed towards his house. Unsurprisingly, it was on the fanciest street in the city, a block lined with gorgeous three-story homes. I pulled up next to the driveway that had Jake's address attached, which I gawked at for far too long. It was one of those picture-perfect dream houses that I knew cost a crazy amount of money in this city.

Either way, I quit my staring and exited the car, heading right for the front door. Each step closer I took, the harder my heart would pound. I was extra nervous this time. Mainly since it was Jake's house. Not just a restaurant or the bar. This felt...personal.
