Chapter 21

Gabriela's POV

After we landed and got our bags, we made our way towards a car Mikael rented out. I called Steven and let him know that we were going to meet him in his house.

"What are you doing?" Mikael asks as he sits on the driver's seat.

"Putting Steven's address in the GPS. That way we won't get lost or have to ask strangers for directions." I smile at him and he tries his best not to smile, but fails and looks away. I know what he's doing. He's trying to look though and mad for coming here, but know that he's at last slightly happy about it. I mean, for the first time in months, he's got a break from all the Alpha work and duties.

In forty minutes or so of driving and listening to the top hits of 2015, we reached Steven's house. I step out of the car and in seconds I'm engulfed in a bear hug and I shriek in surprise.

"GABY!!!" Steven yells and I laugh, but when I hear a growl I immediately pull away as gently as I could and smile at Steven.

"Hey dwarfy! Its so nice to see you!" My nickname for him is dwarfy because when we were younger I used to be way taller than him, but not he's the tall one. But I got used to call him dwarfy so it stuck. Check out his nickname for me...

"You too Belle." His nickname for me is Belle because I used to watch The Beauty and the Beast like every single day and I once dressed up as Belle for a Halloween costume competition and won. I was blushing as I remembered those times and snapped out of it when someone cleared their throat. I looked behind me and Mikael looked uncomfortable. I grabbed his hand and he stood beside me staring down at Steven.

"Steve, this is Mikael, my boyfriend." Is he my boyfriend? Was I supposed to call him my boyfriend? I mean, he never asked me to be his girlfriend, so I don't know.

"Nice to meet you." Mikael replies. I look up at him and he's smiling, genuinely smiling and that made me sigh of relief.

"Nice to meet you too. Come one in. Its freezing out here." Steven says and gestures for us to come inside. I walk to the car to retrieve my bags, but two pairs of hands stop me.

"I got it." Both Steven and Mikael say at the same time and they glare at each other. I tell them that its fine, that I got it, but they don't even let me touch my bags, so I give up and go inside where Steven's mom Amanda greets me and cries a little. I look around and I'm left in shock when I see who are sitting on the couch typing on their phones.

Zach and Ben.

"W-what are you doing here?!" I almost shout and they both look up at me. Their eyes widen and they stand up and walk towards me. Amanda has left somewhere so if they decide to kidnap me and kill me, there eint be any witnesses or anyone to stop them.

"Gabriela. Look, I can explain." Zach trues to touch me, but I back up against a wall and they both corner me.

"Stay away! You tried to hurt me!" I shouted at Zach and Ben looked at him confused.

"What did you do?" Ben asked him and that's when I heard a familiar powerful growl. In the blink of an eye Mikael had them both pinned against the wall by their necks.

"No!" Steven yells and tries to pry Mikael away from them.
Then I realize that he's probably going to kill them so I step in and grab his arm, but in a reflex he pushed me away and I hit the wall and landed on top of a cristal vase for flowers that cut my right leg so deep that it reached the bone and I screamed in pain. I was soaked in blood. I looked at the wound and passed out.

Mikael's POV

"NO!" I screamed and dropped those two and ran to my mate. I can't believe I fucking did this! I thought it was Zach, I didn't noticed it was her.

"Shit!" Steven cursed and kneeled next to Gaby, but I growled at him and he backed off.

"Oh my God! What happened here?!" Some lady came into the room yelling. I ripped off my shirt, pulled out the glass and wrapped my shirt around her leg to stop the bleeding.

"Where's our room?" I asked Steven.

"What?! We have to take her to a hospital!" He screamed and I started to lose my patience.

"Where is our room?" I compelled him and he finally told me what I wanted to know.

"Third floor fourth room on the left. The room with the brown door." He told me and I picked up Gaby and carried her to our room. I laid her on the bathtub since this room has it own bathroom and undressed her. I locked both doors and got rid of my clothes too. I sat behind her, turned on the shower and started healing her. Once she was healed, I filled the tub a little and just sat there waiting for her to wake up. After ten minutes, I felt her moving.

"Mmmm. What the?!" She jumped slightly and looked around frantically, but when she saw that it was me, she relaxed.

"Its okay. I'm here." I told here and she frowned.

"Did you pushed me and I hit a wall and cut my leg?" She asked moving away and I flinched.

"Yes. I thought the one grabbing my arm was Zach." I mumbled and looked down ashamed.

"Oh. Yeah. I think it wasn't the best idea to grab you behind your back." She mumbled and looked away.

"I'm so sorry my love! Please forgive me." I beg her and grab her hands.

"Its okay. It wasn't your fault. I should've known better." She tells me, but I'm not satisfied with her reply.

"No. Nothing will make it okay for me to hurt you. I should've been more aware of my surroundings. You could've died..." My voice cracks a little at the end and Gaby hugs me shushing me.

"Shhh. I'm okay. You saved me. That's what matters. Let's get dressed okay? I'm starting to feel cold." She smiles and I smile a little.

"Okay." I reply and we both step out of the bathroom and get dressed. I look at her and she's wearing long loose pink sweatpants and a hot pink tank top and her hair is in a side braid over her left shoulder. I walk towards her and pull her to me.

"I love you." I tell her and she blushes.

"I love you too." She replies making me smile and I kiss her passionately.
