Gabriela's POV

I slipped on a pair of jeans and my black Vans. We made our way to the living room and they were all cleaning the broken glass and wood.

"Steven?" He was holding a bag while putting pieces of wood in it, but dropped it when he saw me and ran to hug me.

"Gaby! I was so worried! How are you feeling? How's your leg?"

"I'm better. Listen, um, we need to talk. Its super important." I told him and he frowned confused.

"What is it?"

"We'll talk about that after we eat. I skipped breakfast and lunch, so I'm starting to feel dizzy." When I told him that, he and Mikael both growled startling me.

"Why the hell you didn't eat?" Mikael asked pissed and I looked down.

"I was too busy and nervouse that I forgot. But we're eating now right? I'll be fine. Its not the first time anyway..." I mumbled that last part, but they both heard it and growled again.

"Gabriela! Please let me explain." Ben came towards me, but Mikael stopped him.

"Back off if you don't want a broken nose. Or worse." Mikael threatened and Ben took a few steps back.

"We'll talk later. Let's go." Steven, Mikael and I got inside Steven's gray Honda. We drove to a Burger King and ordered our food.
(Hey um....I've never been to Canada or the U.S. so shhhh. I know I may have a few things wrong. So shhh and keep reading. Lol)
Mikael obviously didn't let me pay or hold the board with the food. We kept light conversation while we ate. Once we were done I decided to talk to Steven about our kind.

"Steven, do you remember when our teachers would talk to us about werewolves and stuff like that?"

"Yeah. That we could transform ourselves into wolves or that we could pause our transformation to have only a few of a wolf characteristics. And that most movies about werewolves are based on the sightings of people that have done that. Why?"

"Because you're a werewolf too Steven." I told him and his eyes widened and then he started to laugh hysterically.

"That's new. You got me there Gaby. Haha! Nice one." But when he saw that I wasn't laughing, he stopped and gulped.

"He already knows." Mikael said eyeing him.

"What?!" I asked confused.

"Uh....yeah. I know already. I had my first change seven months ago, two days before I left."

"Why didn't you tell me?! You're my best friend! My brother from other parents! We bathed together!" I raised my voice and when I mentioned that we used to bathe together, Mikael growled and pull me to his lap possessively.

"MINE!" He growled and I just holded his hand to calm him down.

"I know. I wanted to tell you! I even called you, but you didn't answer. I called again and your dad answered. I didn't know it was him so I told him everything and when I was done he hung up and came to my house and he made me promise not to tell you anything. Don't ask me why, he didn't say. All he said is that bit was for your own protection." He explained and my anger slowly faded away.
Why would he do this? Why would he keep something so important from me?

"Okay." I reply and he sighs in relief. I know. Its a shitty reply, but I don't know what else to say.

"Okay? Does that mean that you forgive me and we can go and play in the kids section like we used to?" He asked and I laughed.

"Yes. Let's go Mike." I told him and he looked confused.

"Where?"

"To play." I reply cheerfully and he shakes his head with wide eyes.

"No way! I'm too big! I'll get stuck in there!" He's being so dramatic and I'm finding this very amusing.

"Don't be such a baby! You're not that big. Yes you're tall, but not even the kids can stand up in there. You're thin enough, so let's go. I promise you'll have fun!" I used my puppy dog eyes and he growled giving in.

"Fine. But if I get stuck I'm there, you're the one pulling me out." He agreed and I peck his lips. We made our way to the kids area and took off our shoes.

"Which one do you wantbto play Belle?" Steven asked and I smirked.

"Hide and seek. Mikael, you're the first one counting." I told him and he looked at me.

"But-"

"No buts! Let's go Dwarfy!!!" I shouted and giggled while I climbed through the purple tube slide.
