Silently, they sat next to each other in the car.

It was shortly after midnight and they were finally on their way home.

Since Chan had kissed Jisung at the airport, in front of fans and paparazzi, they had only exchanged a few sentences with each other.

Chan blamed himself insanely. He had only seen Jisung's tears and wanted to comfort him. Had forgotten for a moment that although they had been able to openly show their affection for each other in Australia, they weren't allowed to do so in Korea.

He felt like he was frozen. As if he could no longer breathe because he felt like he was strangled slowly.

His gaze wandered to Jisung, who sat next to him and stared out the window while the tears flowed down his face.

Chan knew it was his fault and was insanely afraid that Jisung and Changbin would now hate him.

He was close to tears, but he had the feeling that he had no right to cry. If he had only thought for one second longer, none of this would have happened.

He wanted to scream and let all the despair out, but not a single sound came out of his mouth.

Changbin also cried, but since he was sitting in front of the other two they couldn't see it and somehow he was glad about it.

He wouldn't have known what to say or do if they had spoken to him right now. He was paralyzed with panic. And a tiny part deep inside him blamed Chan for all the chaos.

He couldn't help it.

When he had seen Jisung's tears at the airport, he also had wanted to comfort him, but he wouldn't have dared to kiss him.

Even if he could understand that Chan had reacted almost reflexively and hadn't done it intentionally.

And the logical, clearly-thinking part of him knew that, but the panicked part of him wanted to beat him up and yell at him.

When they finally arrived home, they got off without saying goodbye to their driver and shortly afterwards stood in silence in the elevator.

Arriving at their apartment, Chan tried to unlock the door with trembling hands, but the key fell out of his hands.

When he bent down to pick it up, the first tears finally ran down his face.

He suppressed his sobs and finally managed to unlock the door.

Changbin and Jisung pushed past him.

But contrary to Chan's expectations, Changbin disappeared into his room and slammed the door behind him.

Jisung also disappeared in his room, only he quietly closed his door behind him.

That was the moment when Chan couldn't longer hold back his sobs.

He collapsed and remained sobbing on the floor.

It felt like his nightmares had come true. And all of this was his fault. Because he was an absolutely stupid, impulsive person who apparently couldn't think for a second before he reacted.
