The following day, Niharika is getting ready in front of a mirror. When Maanveer approached and tried to get her attention by clearing his throat.
Over the past month, he has attempted to communicate with her in this way. Every time he cleared his throat, Niharika knew he was eager to speak with her.
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She then uttered the word "Kahiya." (speak)
Maanveer smiled a little, knowing that she could tell he wanted to say something just by the way he cleared his throat. However, he shook his head and declared, "I will pick you early from dance academy today."
Niharika raised her eyebrows in a questioning manner as she turned to face him.
He understood her question and replied, "Actually, today is Shaurya's birthday, and his parents have organized a big party to celebrate both his success and his birthday. And we are all invited, so...."
"So you want me to go there with all of you?" Niharika inquired abruptly.
Indeed, Maanveer said with a nod, "because they want to meet you." Maanveer answered, glancing around but not meeting her eyes.
"Really?" Niharika questioned while glaring. Maanveer gave another nod. "Try to think some new techniques to tell a lie," Niharika said, shaking her head disapprovingly.
Maanveer looked at her in shock, trying to figure out how she knew he was lying.
"You forgot Tanish and Shaurya are brothers, and I have already met Tanish's parents several times, so..." Niharika answered his unasked question.
"Saala Tanish......" He murmured under his breath, frustrated with Tanish for almost forgetting about his wife's male best friend.
Niharika turned back to face the mirror, and Maanveer went into deep thought about another reason, but first he heard his wife's voice.
"There is no need to think of another false reason. "I am coming."
Maanveer smiled and said, "Okay, I will pick you up at 5:00 pm in the evening."
Niharika nodded yes, and Maanveer exited the room. Following this, they ate breakfast and Maanveer drove her to her dance academy.
Maanveer's POV-
It is almost 4:30 p.m., and I have been waiting for her outside her dance academy for the past half-hour.
