Author’s POV -

Niharika was not prepared to hear his words. She only wants to leave this house because the memories of everything that happened to her in it haunt her. 

However, Maanveer wants to avoid putting her life in danger once more. “I don’t care what you want or what! No, you can’t go anywhere without my permission. If you do, then trust me, consequences won’t be good,” he threatens her once more. 

As he rises to leave, Niharika’s voice stops him in his tracks. “Two months!” Her voice is determined. “Just two more months. After that, we will officially divorce. You won’t be able to stop me from leaving then. And, I promise, from that point on, I will stay far away from you.”

Upon hearing her words, he abruptly stops. His heart sinks at the thought of losing her. He turns back, getting close to her and grabbing her arm to make her listen. She’s forced against him. 

His hands move to grasp her neck, their eyes locking in a tense standoff, and not one of them looked away. He looks into her intense, dark, kohl eyes. This time, there is only hatred and rage in her eyes. 

But he’s not angry at her defiance; he’s angry at the thought of losing her. Holding her firmly, he makes her meet his gaze. “I promise you that you will change your decision on your own,” he insists, his voice low and intense.

With that, he releases her and exits the room slowly, leaving her to ponder his words.

It is nearly 8:00 in the morning. Niharika, dressed in a basic white anarkali suit with golden embroidery on the border and neckline, moves around her room. Seeing Rajvanshi again feels strange. She doesn’t know how to react. She is not ready to meet them now. Problem for later. So, she decides to head straight to her dance academy. Grabbing her bag, she exits the room.  

However, her plans go a little overboard when she notices the whole family in the living room, each wearing a different expression. On one side, the elders sit solemnly, while on the other, Anushka, Aarav, and Vivaan stand with conflicted emotions. 

Seeing their faces, Niharika can’t help but recall all their accusations against her. No! Not now! Just as she steps back to leave, she hears the word “Bhabhi.”

It is Anushka, with tears welling up in her eyes. Niharika turns to face her, and all the past events begin to replay in her head. Niharika steps backwards as Anushka advances a few steps in her direction. “Bhabhi, please listen to me once.” 

Niharika ignored Anushka’s words and retorts, “"Stop right there! Don’t come near me. I can hurt you like last time,” casting a glance towards Shreya Ji.

“No bhabhi. Please aise mat boliye.” (Don’t speak like that!) Niharika ignores her and others, and runs towards her room. Everyone in the room feels guilty. They know it was their mistake back then. They can’t really blame her for acting this way.
