⤷ THREE; the bond between two dragons ⤶
NOT A DAY HAD PASSED WHERE I HADN'T THOUGHT OF MY GRANDSIRE, King jaehaerys the just. Even after eight name days, I thought of him every day, of his smile and mind. Without him, I became even more closed off, smiling to a minimum. Politeness to a certain point, but with my nyra, my heart was full.Though the things grandsire had drilled into my head so many years ago still racked me, and it never would leave, at least not completely. I would never control Karnax and he would never control me. We would be equals, completely intertwined with each other, unable to bare being too far away for one another.
After the incident that scarred me years ago, it never left his mind. I was always nudging my stomach gently every time we would see each other. Nyra was and still is slightly afraid of him, but he would not harm her, not ever.
Even when it was just the four of us in the air.
A gush of wind blew my long hair wildly as I flipped and twirled in the air with Karnax, laughing joyously as he roared happily. Looking down at the blurred figures below us who no doubt was staring in astonishment.
Karnax growled and chuffed as if he was amused with the plain featured people below. With a small tug, he began following the sun that was my little sisters dragon, Syrax.
Following after her enjoying the euphoric feeling in my stomach holding onto Karnax's reins tighter, urging him to hasten his pace to catch up with Nyra. Looking over at how small the townspeople and their homes looked. Forever would I would be grateful to be born into the Targaryen Dynasty so that I could forever remember the feeling of the wind blowing in my hair.
Noticing that my final destination was quickly approaching, I felt as my smile fell into a dimmed smile. Though, all I could think of was the next land I would venture off to with my greatest companion.
Without having to command him, Karnax landed gracefully next to Syrax, cuffing in recognition as he eyed her as she became rather hysterical in his presence. Chuckling to him as I slid from my saddle, rolling my eyes as he snarled at the keeper who came closer to us.
"lykirī." Ever so soft and tender, my echoed his large ears scratching a spot under his chin making him purr loudly. "I shall return tomorrow, my love. For we have much more adventures to come."
Ignoring the stares of the humble dragon keepers, muttered a small goodbye to Karnax who quickly flew from the pits and the pointy sticks of the bald headed keepers. Nodding my head to them politely as I walked towards Nyra and Ali.
Feeling the smile on my face grow slightly as I watched Nyra pout at Ali.
"Princess, will you join us today." Ah, it seemed like every ride I had with Nyra, they both wanted me to join them in that horrid box with wheels. It was uncomfortable and nauseating to sit in it especially with their constant chatter.
Feigning an apologetic smile as I spoke. "Apologies dear sister, Ali but I will take my leave here." It was a gleeful as I could muster up.
"Sister one day, you will have to ride in this dreadful carriage with Alicent and I. I command it." Rhaenyra's playful yet stern voice did nothing but it made me chuckle. Though a dragon, she resembled an angry bunny who was woken from it's sleep which wasn't too far from what my sister actually was.
