I just want to make it.

You know, there comes a point in your life when you just want to watch your dreams turn into reality, make your loved ones proud, and see yourself happy.

I always think about it. I wish to live normally, do what brings calm to my heart, and be where I am destined to be.

Adulting is cruel. People's opinions are loud. Responsibilities are heavy. And living is painful.

I just want to make it. We all just want to make it.

I heaved a sigh. Soon. But right now, I bustled around the coffee shop, an apron tied neatly around my waist. The gentle hum of conversation from customers and the occasional clinking of cups created a soothing atmosphere.

Nakakaramdam talaga ako ng relaxation kapag nasa coffee shop ako. I felt like I was in my own world when I was working here. It was quiet, cold, and comforting.

I was busy with a customer at the counter when the door chimed softly.

He's here.

Rylan walked into the coffee shop, dressed in a dark, fitted T-shirt that showed off his lean build, paired with well-worn jeans. Over his T-shirt, he wore a light, unbuttoned plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, showing his watch.

He looked manly and serious. Slung over his shoulder was a black guitar gig bag, the soft case designed to carry and protect his instrument. The strap of the bag crossed his chest, resting comfortably as if it were an extension of himself, a testament to how often he carried it.

I went to the monitor and greeted him.

"Welcome. What can I get for you today?" I asked.

"One iced americano for dine in." He answered.

Tumango ako at nag pindot sa monitor. "Anything else?"

He shook his head and smiled. "None."

He gave me his card after I told him the amount.

"How are you?" He suddenly asked.

I stopped at my track and looked up at him. "I'm okay."

He nodded, smiling softly. "Glad to hear."

We heard Rylan's chuckle. He was smirking, showing off his dimples. I pushed her to the side and remained calm.

"I'll get your coffee. Have a seat, I'll bring it over," I told him.

His gaze and smile were still soft. He was so obvious!

Holding his cup of coffee, I walked towards his table and placed it on the top.
