Autumn

I wake up and like every day for the past month I had to puke. But now I've gotten used to it. As I lean over the toilet seat, I let Winter grab my hair and he holds it back. "Thank you my love." I say as I finnish puking. It's disgusting but I can't help it. "No worries my sweet." Winter says back. "You know my love, I think I'm ready to start telling people." I say as I go to stand up and Winter lets my hair go. "That's great my darling." He says. "I will back you up in everything you do." He smiles and so do I. We eat our breakfast and go to work

I'm covering in the babyroom this morning because Charlotte is on annual leave. I go in the room and greet Carly when the first parents arrives. It is Steve with Raymond. "Goodmorning Steve." I start the conversation. "Morning Winter, where is Charlotte today?" Steve asks. "Charlotte is on annual leave today so I'm covering for her here." I reply. "Oh, alright." Steve says. We finnish handover and I spend a lovely day with the children until lunch. We have a scrap between two children and thry were at eachothers throats. When all the baby's are sleeping I go over to the office to get Marjories signature on the accident form.

I go in to work this morning and start like usual. Somewhere near lunch Marjorie begins a convesation with me but I keep focussed on work during it. "I don't mean to be rude or anything Autumn but, have you gained a little weight these last couple of weeks?" She asks curiously. "No Marjorie I have not." I reply, I keep foccusing on my work. "Oh sorry, I must just see things then." Marjorie says. "No, you aren't seeing things Marjorie." I reply. I look over at Marjorie and I can hear the cogs turning. "I'm, not?" She asks confused. "Marjorie, before you get all gooey and sentimental, please just don't. I'm pregnant." I say. "You're pregnant?!" Marjorie goes. "That's wonderfull, I'm so happy for you!" Marjorie continues. "Marjorie, what did I ask?" I say, I knew this would happen but I still don't like it. "Oh yeah, I'm sorry Autumn." Marjorie appologises. "I'll just get you a bottle then." "Marjorie, I can't drink that." I reply. "Oh yeah," she says. "I'll change it to a box of chocolates." Marjorie suggests. "That's alright." I reply.
Exactly at that moment Winter comes in. "Hello my love, hey Marjorie." He says. "Congratulations Winter!" Marjorie says. "Congratulations?" Winter asks confused. "I just told her my love." I say. "Ahh, thank you Marjorie. Uhm, I just came in here for your signature." Winter hands Marjorie the accident form and Marjorie signs it. "There you go." Marjorie says. "Thank you Marjorie." Winter says. "Bye my darling, bye Marjorie." He continues and walks out.

Now I know Autumn has told Marjorie I can also start telling people. Naturally Carly asks me about Autumn once we have struck a conversation and I blurt out that she is pregnant. "Autumn is pregant?!" Carly says in disbelief. "Yes Carly, that's what I just said." I reply. She grabs her phone and wants to start texting people. "Carly, do that in your break." I say and she puts away her phone. "Ugh, fine Winter." She says. When the end of the day rolls around and all the parents come to collect most of them ask about Autumn and I tell them that it is true what they heard and that we are expecting.
