About a year after Ember had her first day at nursery I see that Marjorie keeps running off to the toilet. She has gone 5 times just this morning! Once she comes back from one of her toilet breaks I stop her and ask her something. "Marjorie, what is going on with you?" "N-Nothing." She says dismissing my question. "Marjorie, you can't lie, tell me." I demands her to fess up to whatever it is that she is hiding. "I am just not feeling myself today." She says. "Then go home Marjorie, rest for as long as you need." I tell her. "No, no, I don't want to." Marjorie says. "Marjorie, if your sick your sick." I persist but Marjorie still isn't giving in. "Why won't you go home Marjorie?" I ask her and finally she gives a response. "Well, I'll let Reece tell you." She says. "Let Reece tell me?" I am thinking to myself why Reece should be the one to tell me and then it clicks. "They're having a baby." "Alright, I'll stop asking but he better be here soon then." I say. Secretly I rrally want to hear if my suspicions are true but I make sure that Marjorie doesn't know that.
About half an hour later Reece comes in with Marjorie's morning coffee. "Hey you," He greets her as he walks in. "Little sis." He hands Marjorie her coffee and gives her a small kiss on the cheek. It grosses me out whenever he is so lovey dovey with Marjorie. "Reece, I heard you had something to tell me?" I say to him. He flinches as he did not expect those words. He looks over at Marjorie as she nods, giving him he ok sign. "Uhm, apparantly I do." He replies. "Well, what is it." I ask him. "Well, Marjorie knew I wanted to be the one telling you this so I'm glad she let me but we are expecting." I am still shocked even though I expected it. I smile slightly. Then I'm realising that Ember will have a cousin. "Congratulations!" I say happy. "Do you already know the gender?" I ask curiously. "Uhm yes," Reece says and Marjorie cuts him of and says its a girl. Then the realisation really hits, Ember will have a girl she can always chat with, they will be like sisters and that feeling just warms my heart. Marjorie keeps asking me about how to raise a child during the day and I tell her everything I know. She is chewing my ear off with all these questions but I don't mind. It is just wonderfull how exstatic she is.
