Ember

I have literally just learned that Mia and Char have adopted a son. "Wait, you mean Mia and Charlotte Robertts?!" I say in a total shock as Alex just nods and says "Yup, that are my parents, do you know them?" He asks me curiously. "Ofcourse I know them! I have known them since the moment I was born!" He smiles at me kind of awkwardly whilst holding my hand. I literally have the biggest crush on him but I try to hide it, I'm not that... emotional. "But, how do you know my parents?"
"Oh, they work at the nursery my mother and uncle own. Charlotte has worked there for so long I don't even know a time when she didn't! and well, as for Amelia... she has been a lifelong friend of my mom." He just looks in awe about how far back our parents go without even knowing it and I just find it so adorable.
"You know, I'd love to tell you all about it after school," I suggest and he is intregued. "Although we do have to go to my grandparents, it's a safety thing." He looks at me a bit weird but agrees. "Alright, lets meet up in front of the school once it's finnished.
Later that day once school is finnished I wait by the entrance and I see my granparents walking up to me. "Em, you waiting for something?" My nan asks me and I nod. "Yeah, it's this boy in my class,"
"You are not taking a boy with us young lady!" My granddad says in a stern voice. "But you-" my granddad cuts me off, "No is no Ember." "Can you could just let me explain that he is the son of Char and Mia?" I say frustrated but he looks confused. "Char, Mia?" I sigh and go on. "Charlotte and Amelia Roberts granddad." He nods and changed his mind, "Fine, he can come with us."
That moment he walks up to us and he greets my grandparents with a hand shake whikst introducing himself. We get in the car and we drive to their house.
We get to their house and eat some coockies my nan has made to then go upstairs to my room. I tell him about everything I know and we talk for hours about the families or the nursery.
Then we hear a knock on the door followed by my nan talking. "Guys, I have some hot chocolate milk for you downstairs if you'd like it." We go downstairs and drink the hot cocoa with a few biscuits. "You are so kind mrs. Smith!" Alex shout s out whilst me and my nan just giggle at the sudden comment. "Thank you dear, oh and Em, I believe Winter will be here in a few minutes." I finnish my drink and givd my nan a hug. "Will Char and Mia also come?" She looks confused for a second but then puts it togheter that I meant Charlotte and Amelia. "I don't know dear, I just texted Winter that Alex is here too." I nod and we go sit in the living room till my dad is here.
Once we are home I get out of the car and I'm greeted by Gloria neighing at me from the gate of the field. "Hey honey! How have you been?" I say as I am petting her neck. "Wait, you have a horse?!" Alex shouts out in suprise as I nod, "Uhm, three actually." I call out for the other two as they run up to the gate.

The fact that she is a horse girl is just so hot to me and I just stand there amazed. She literally has these animals wrapped around her finger but how, I have no clue. There was a black horse standing at the gate who she basically flinged herself around when we arrived. Also was there a brown pony(I didn't even know it was a pony until she told me) and a brown horse who now were also standing at the gate. "So, meet Gloria, Raven and Stella." I am a bit afraid of horses but I'm just impressed by her passion and love for them that my fear slides away. She goes on and on about them and I love every second of it.
"Wait, official names? Isn't it just Gloria, Raven and Stella?" I ask confused and she shakes her head. "No, you can't have two horses with the same name so we have Gloriosa Flame, The Night's Raven and Estellar Skies." She says proudly as she points to each of the horses whilst saying their names.
I see Embers mother walk up to the gate and she tell me that my parents are here. "Awhh, I was having so much fun with you." I say as I turn around to walk to my parents but she holds my hands. "Maybe you can sleep over?" She says pleading with her mom but not a further word being spoken untill her mom agrees. "Fine but you'll have to square it with Mia and Char first."
With that we run over to my mothers and I ask them if I can stay over and they look at Embers mom and she nods, then they look at eachother and nod at me.
Then me and Ember go inside following her mum because we are about to sit down for tea. "It's so pretty in here!" I comment whilst Ember giggles.

I see my mother looking at me with a knowing look. "So, I'm suprised Ember has never told me about you," I glare at my motherbut she continues. "I mean, seeing your Char and Mia's child." I keep my glare for another second but then I just move on to eating.
After dinner me and Alex are about to go back to the field but my mother stops me. "Em, you know you first have to change into your horse clothes then." I sigh as I run upstairs to quickly change.
Not that long after I ran up the stairs I rush back down them and I take Alex' hand as we run to the field.
We go through the gate to then sit down on the grass. As we get settles Stella lays down next to me and I lay down leaning on her. I hear Alex awe as I run my fingers through her mane. Then Gloria and Raven also trot over to us and lay with us.
I start to slowly move onto Stella's back as I watch for consent. I pet her and then hold on to her main tightly as I click with my tongue and she starts to stand up. "OH MY GOD?! HOW DID YOU-" I cut him off by giggling as his mouth is wide open and his eyes are widend. "You know, you can just sit on Gloria and hold on really tight if you also want it?" I suggest and he likes the suggestion so he does what I say. Once he is in a good position I click my tongue and Gloria also stands up shortly followed by Raven. I give Stella a small kick as I direct her to the shed where we have the bridles and halters. As I trot over there I look behind me to see Gloria also trotting so I slow Stella down.
After I grabbed a bridle and secured it on Gloria's head I teach Alex how to hold the reins. "So, you hold your hands like this with your thimbs on top," I show him exactly how to hold his hand as I keep on explaining. "Then you put your pinky under the rein." He fiddles a bit with the reins and after a little trial and error he holds them correctly. "You know, you can come to mine more often so I can teach you how to ride, I mean, if you want that." I see him light up at the suggestion and I take that as a yes.
I also put a bridle on Stella and I tell Alex to hold onto Gloria's mane. "If you find it that we are going to fast just tell me." I attach a lead to Gloria's bridle knowing I am going to need it if we are gonna galop. I give Stella a few small kicks as she starts to accalerate and she starts to galop with Gloria doing the same. I wnjoy the moment whilst Alex is holding on for dear life. "You alright over there?" I ask him but hear nothing so I immidiatly slow the two horses down. "Good girls!" I pet the two of them whilst Alex is catching his breath.
"I never knew horse riding was this hard!" He says as he caught up on his breathing. I burst into laughter and so does he.
We stay on the horses as I guide them to the gate. At the gate we both slude off of the horses and I give them a treat before saying goodnight to them.
We go inside and spend the rest of the night talking about literally everything.

As you may or may not have noticed I am an EXTREME horse girl so that is basically the whole point why I made Ember one (and also Winter, that is nothing headcannon). Sorry it took me a while to write this but I am finally caught up on my notebook!
