"Ati ko, improving so much..."
Her mind went blank. She just kissed a man... a fictional man. Isn't this considered every reader's dream? Well, hindi naman siya reader. She creates stories, mostly.
Truthfully, she only kissed one man.
She shook her head trying to clear her mind from having memories of that person.
It seemed to be a bad dream.
Nasa sinaunang panahon sila, a bad dream could mean a bad omen for the people. Marahan naman niyang ginising ang kanyang asawa. Her memories were a bit foggy, it didn't occur in the first draft of the novel.
The place was too familiar to him. Their place was burned down to the ground. His father came back from hunting with that scene.
He somehow felt responsible for what happened to his mother, the newborn baby and the people taking care of them.
He didn't want people to starve.
"Patawad, Amang Datu..."
He wasn't man enough to save the people he loved.
Technically, he was just a child to be given that responsibility.
The Datu's eyes were moist, too.
His Datu father went to business.
He opened his eyes and jerked whatever was holding him. Her expression was hurt.
Realization dawned on him.
He asked her softly.
For the first time, he laughed so genuine and sincere.
May kumiliti sa kanyang puso.
His heart was beating fast inside his chest. He had forgotten the dream that he had earlier. It wasn't a dream. It was a reality to him.
