You and Mary locked eyes then pulled away
"I'm sorry Mary I wasn't thinking about what I was doing " you said as you pulled back and looked at her
"It's alright you idiot" she said as she grabbed your shirt and pulled you in for a kiss
It was a quick but passionate kiss full of emotion and care
"Well what happened to me being annoying?" you asked her after you pulled away from the kiss
"I changed my mind alright. Keep it up and you'll get that title renewed" she told you as she pulled away to go downstairs
As you went to the kitchen and ate dinner you explained to Bruce that Mary will be spending the night with you
"Alright master y/n" he said as he looked at you mischievously
"Gosh Bruce I told you not to call me that! Especially not in front of guests" you told him as you covered your face from embarrassment
"My apologies y/n; well if you guys need any snacks or anything I'll be here" he said as he winked at you and got up to clean the kitchen
"Alright Bruce thank you" you said as you got up and grabbed your plate and Mary's to take to the sink "do you want any snacks or anything while we're down here?" You asked Mary as you grabbed some popcorn
"Nah I don't want anything" she told you as she made her way to the stairs
"So what do you wanna do? Do you wanna play games? Or watch another movie?" You asked her as you followed behind her
"I guess we could watch another movie" she said "I wanna ask you some stuff about your life before moving here though"
"Ok. I wanna ask you about yourself too!" You said as you reached the top of the stairs and opened your room door
As you and Mary got comfortable and put on a movie for background noise Mary initiated the questions
"So y/n where are you from and what brings you here?" She asked
"Well I'm from (wherever you're from) and I'm here because after my parents passed away. I was sent to live with my aunt and this is actually one of her many houses. She thought it would be a good idea to enroll me into this school because 'it could teach me about how money works' she says" you told the blonde "alright my turn now. Why're you always so quick to push people away and be so cold and mean?" You asked her
"Because it's a test." She told you
"A test?" You questioned "how is that a test?"
"Because if they choose to still try to talk to me and be my friend then that means they aren't quitters" she explained to you "I hate quitters"
"Ahhh that makes sense. That's pretty cool Mary!" You told her "so did I pass?" You asked
"Yeah I guess" she said as she looked away
"Nice" you said with a smile
"Why did you want to befriend me y/n?" Mary asked you
"Well you weren't like everyone else" you said "you saw how everyone else was. All the girls kept trying to give me their number and win me over but you were different" you explained as you laid back to watch the movie "yeah you probably wanted to embarrass me or make me out to be a loser, but something about you was so captivating" you finished
"Mary what are we?" You asked her as you turned to face her
"We don't have to be anything" she told you "we just met each other so if you want to take it slow I understand" she said as she now turned to watch the movie
"Alright well in that case do you want me to sleep on the floor so you can take the bed?" You asked her as you grabbed your blanket and pillow
"If you want, idiot" she told you "I don't mind if you sleep on the bed" she twirled her hair
"Ok Mary" you said as you sat back down on the bed happy she was alright with you laying with her
It was a big bed so there was more than enough room for the both of you to lay comfortably so you weren't to worried about being cramped or on top of each other
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable the other day" you apologized again
"Don't worry about it I kinda deserved it for cheating" she told you "how does your nose feel? It looks like the bruise is starting to go away" she asked you
"It doesn't hurt as bad anymore but it definitely still hurts" you told her
"Well that's good. Next time don't be picking fights with people, you nitwit" she told you as she smacked your shoulder
"Yeah I learned my lesson. But to be fair he shouldn't have done that to Ryota" you told her
"Ugh Ryota is annoying. who cares what happens to him" she told you "he's a pussy that doesn't like to take chances"
"Yeah I see that but still" you told her as you both got comfortable in the covers
As you started to drift off to sleep you herd her say something
"That's why I like you, you dumbass"
And with that you slowly drifted off to sleep leaving the tv on for light
