Itsuki looked at Yumeko terrified

"if the pattern were different I would have lost for sure!" Yumeko said out loud

"Pattern? what pattern?! what the hell is this girl made of" you thought as you tried to get a closer look at the cards on the table "these cards look like any other cards??"

Yumeko started flipping over cards one by one without a single mistake. Itsuki just watched in terror of the events that were unfolding. As Yumeko flipped the last card she looked at the girl in triumph 

"That was so fun!" Yumeko said as she went to the girl "lets play another this time we can both bet our nails!" she said as she got in the girls face 

"n-no. I c-cant" the girl stuttered as her eyes started to water 

"come on wouldn't it be so fun! ripping each others finger and toe nails off! We can play more than one game!" Yumeko said as she tried pressuring the girl excitedly

the younger girl started crying  clearly freaked out by  Yumeko's behavior so Ryota being the prince charming he is tried to talk Yumeko down 

"Yumeko stop! cant you see she's pleading with you!" he told Yumeko as he held her back

"you're such a buzz kill" Yumeko tells Ryota as she turns to him, frustrated. As she walked away from him she interlocked your arms with hers and dragged you along "so what do you wanna do, y/n?" as asked you as she walked with  you through the hall

"um I don't know I was just thinking of going to class" you said as you pulled your arm away from hers and turned to look back at Ryota. he looked livid "I'm in trouble" you thought as you walked away with Yumeko 

"how about we go check out some gambles! wouldn't that be fun?" she told you as she made her way to some gambling dens

"alright this girl maybe isn't that bad. she has a kind heart I don't think she made Mary go into debt like that out of spite. she just gets carried away in her gambling" you thought to yourself as you watched the girl excitedly run down the hall to the gambling dens "she acts like such a kid. its adorable!" 

as the day went on you and Yumeko spent most of the day at the gambling dens. You played a few games and won a few, the games you lost weren't anything crazy so you didn't go into debt. Ryota came around at some point and tried playing too, but he lost almost all of them 

"wow Ryota, today wasn't a lucky day for you huh?" you told Ryota with a chuckle 

"shut it y/n I don't wanna hear it from you" he said harshly 

"well jeez what got into you?" you asked him as you stopped walking and turned to him 

"nothing I'm just upset I lost!" he said as he continued walking 

"oh, alright. Well I have somewhere to be so ill see you guys later!" you told them as you walked off to meet up with Mary 

"alright by y/n! ill see you tomorrow!" Yumeko told you as she waved happily "yeah I'll see you tomorrow" Ryota said unenthusiastically 

As you walked to meet up Mary you were excited to talk to her and tell her about the gambles you've won 

"maybe I can start helping Mary pay off her debt! its not much but a little goes a long way" you thought as you arrived to the sliding doors with Mary waiting outside 

"gosh I've been waiting for like 5 minutes, what took you so long?" she asked you as she came up to you 

"oh sorry Mary, I was gambling with Ryota and that new girl and I won some money! maybe I can help you pay off your debt?" you told her as you reached for her hands

"ew that new girl that put me in this position?" she said as she crossed her arms to avoid your hands 

"yeah I'm sorry Mary but she's actually pretty chill if you get to know her" you tried explaining to her 

"oh please! like how every other girl is 'chill' around you" she told you annoyed 

"no Mary its not like that!" you told her

"whatever, just go home y/n I'm not in the mood to be around you right now" she said as she went inside 

"way to blow it y/n" you told yourself as you looked at her close the door angrily "I'll wait out here for here for her"
