"that's why I like you, you dumbass" Mary said as you laid there with your eyes closed
"was she asleep? I don't care . This girl is a little odd but still an amazing person to have around. I'd never admit that to anyone" Mary thought as she watched you sleep "god I'm so creepy I need to go to sleep" Mary thought as she turned the other way
As much as I tried I couldn't fall asleep. There's to much on my mind. hours had passed and still there was no luck. At some point I got up and looked around y/n's room just to checking out their style
"even though this bed is 10x more comfortable than mine at home, I cant bring myself to sleep. I cant lay here and do nothing while I owe so much money" Mary thought as she laid back down next to you "I need to get myself out of this."
while Mary laid down with only the dim tv light brightening the room she was trying to think of ways to pay off her debt
"hey what the-" she whispered to you as she felt you wrap your arms around her waist, holding her tight
"mom..dad...please dont..go tonight" you mumbled in your sleep
"poor y/n, she is only human after all and has emotions just like everyone else" Mary thought to herself as she caressed your cheek
as Mary caressed your cheek you squeezed her into a tighter embrace digging your face into her breasts
"you idiot knock it off! there's no way you aren't conscious right now!!" she thought as she felt her face get hotter "she's just missing her parents that's it! there isn't anything weird going on!" Mary convinced herself to ignore the thoughts of anything else happening
after a while of you laying like that, Mary felt her shirt start to get damp
"is she crying?" she thought as she lightly scratched your back with her nails
"NO!!!" you shouted as you jolted up from your sleep in tears "I-Im sorry Mary. I didn't mean to wake you up" you said wiping your eyes
"shhhh just go back to sleep its ok" Mary said grabbing your head and leaning you into her "I'm here and I'll always be here for you. Through thick and thin" Mary told you as she ran her fingers through your beautiful silky hair
"thank you Mary" you said as Mary felt you relax in her arms "I'm sorry for the way I was holding you. Are you sure you don't want me to sleep on the floor?" you asked
"its fine you idiot. You need rest you've been through a lot." Mary told you as she tried to comfort her
"I said that because it's true. There was definitely no other reason for me to say that! its not like I wanted her in the same bed as me!!" Mary told herself as she tried to get rest
As morning came around you both woke up to your alarms for school
"Good morning Mary! Sorry that I woke you up last night. I had a nightmare I guess you could say" you explained to her
"It's alright you idiot; I wasn't asleep anyways." Mary told you
"Oh I'm sorry you couldn't get any sleep. Maybe it was a bad idea to make you stay" you told her apologetically
"It's not your fault dummy! I just had a lot on my mind last night" she told you
"Is there anything I could do to help? Do you wanna talk about it?" You offered
"I was just thinking about how I'm gonna pay off my debt. I can't be a house pet forever" she told you as you both got out of bed to finally get ready
"Well were you able to think of anything?" You asked as you grabbed your clothes and started changing
"Uh yeah I uh planned on umm challenging a council member" she told you as her face turned red and she turned away
"Oh sorry" you told her as you quickly put your shirt on "but how does that work? Wouldn't you be betting money you don't have?" You asked
"Yeah but this game is pretty simple and easy to win so I think I should be fine" she told you as she went to the bathroom to change
"Well that's good then. I'll go and watch if that's ok with you" you told her
"Yeah alright. Just don't be weird and don't fight anyone because they're treating me like a house pet. I'll beat them sooner or later" she told you as she got out of the bathroom and flicked her hair confidently
"Understood, miss Mary!" You said jokingly getting in a soldier position with your hand on your forehead
"Alright let's get out of here you idiot before you make us late to school"
