Flipping the newspaper, the coffee machine ran in the background, the front door of the mansion unlocked and hasty footsteps arrived in the living room, "Your Hogwarts letter," the man holding the newspaper to his face folded the newspaper and placed it on the centre table, "Thank you Mrs Cole," he added to the housekeeper, Mrs Cole politely smiled before she placed a glass of water for the young master, his forehead was matted with sweat along with his clothes,

"What's for breakfast, Mrs Cole?" The young boy inquired sitting on the expansive velvet sofa and gulping the water before he opened his Hogwarts letter lazily, his hair tie at the end of his fluffy ebony hair, poking out in all directions, as opposed to the man whose straight hair was combed back neatly,

"Bacon, toast, eggs and coffee, young master Cadence." Mrs Cole answered before she disappeared in the kitchen,

"I'll take you to Diagon Alley this week," the man said, sipping his morning coffee, blue eyes staring at Cadence, pale skin and structured features mirrored his face,

"Yeah thanks, Jasper," the young boy shrugged his shoulders, skimming through the letter, Jasper glanced at the clock above the fireplace, it was eight in the morning, he stood up and left for his room, returning for breakfast Jasper placed his briefcase on the sofa,

"Thanks, Mrs Cole," he smiled before beginning his breakfast, a few minutes later his younger brother descended the stairs and settled at the large dining table, a sparkling chandelier above their heads, "Start packing your things, I won't be here after next week, if you encounter any trouble send an owl to Kyle," Jasper added,

"You'd return by Christmas?" Cadence asked, biting into the crispy toast; Jasper shrugged his shoulders, "Well if you return, send me an owl. If you don't return, I'll spend Christmas at Hogwarts."

Jasper nodded his head in agreement, wiping the corner of his lips he stood up,
"See you in the evening, I am leaving Mrs Cole!" Jasper raised his voice at the end slightly, Mrs Cole brought his hat and handed it to him, Cadence waved at Jasper before he picked up the newspaper,

"Young master, I have to buy some groceries, I'll return before lunchtime." Mrs Cole informed, Cadence dipped his head before he hurried back to his room, swinging the ebony door of his room. Cadence hurried towards his bookshelf lined with the books he has collected over the years, pulling out a grey-covered book his lean fingers searched for the page he had hidden in the book, plopping on the grey sofa he furrowed his eyebrows, impatient to find the precious page, a knock at his door startled the teen, stuffing the book behind a cushion he unlocked his door,

Mr Cole bowed his head politely, "Young master, an owl arrived a few minutes ago, the letter says it is urgent, Master Morris is at the ministry, please see to this," the middle-aged man notified, his blonde hair slicked back and pocket watch made a clink, "It's time to clean the study, if there is nothing else, I have to tend to my duties, Young master," he added, Cadence stared at his polished shoes tapping away, once the butler was out of sight, Cadence shut his room door and tore the seal,

The usual scent of wisteria flowers and the curvy, clean writing on the parchment belonged to Jasper's best friend. Cadence's heartbeats picked up in anticipation. His fingers trembled lightly as he unfolded the parchment,

'Dear Jasper,

I hope you have been in good health, Professor McGonagall is finished sending the owls to the new students, I believe Cadence should receive his by the time I send this to you, do take him to Diagon Alley for the school supplies, I have to prepare lesson plans, hence I am unable to tag along with you two, I hope you'd be back for Christmas, I found a new lead on the case, here is the address, the man is said to be a little cranky with strangers so be cautious, looking forward to your reply.
