Staring at the door, which Moody repaired before leaving, Lillian hugged herself; Jasper crossed his legs and tapped his finger against the armrest, "Pack your things; there is a chance your Father might not be back before your new term at Hogwarts, so pack accordingly." Jasper said; Lillian nodded her head and left.
An hour later the girl stood in the living room with her trunk and a backpack. Jasper cast a spell, and the luggage turned to the size of biscuits; Lillian ran upstairs and returned with her teddy bear and the letters on her table; Jasper eyed the things in her hand before he locked the house with a spell and apparated.
Lillian's eyes took in the huge mansion ahead, the night and the cloudy sky with the moonlight beaming occasionally added to the mystery and horror of the mansion, following behind the tall man she passed by gardens of flowers and fountains, ascending the steps leading to the front door Lillian waited as Jasper tapped his wand against the large black wooden doors with bronze door knockers shaped like the wings of a bird, stepping inside the first thing that came into view was two long sets of dark velvety sofas laying in the living room opposite to each other with a long glass centre table in between, a glass chandelier hung above the dinner table to the left.
Lillian climbed a staircase which was to the right of the front door leading up to other rooms, flower vases and paintings covered the walls of the corridor, Jasper paused in front of a similar black door and twisted the bronze door knob, "You'll stay here tonight," Jasper looked around, "I have to go to the ministry, stay here tonight and I'll see you tomorrow morning." he added waving his wand, Lillian's trunk and bags appeared as Jasper shut the door behind him, sitting on the fluffy bed Lillian hugged her teddy bear tighter.

Kyle turned to the front door as Jasper walked in. Mrs Cole took the coat and hat from his hands before returning to the kitchen, plopping on the sofa Jasper leaned his head against the backrest,
"Urgent case?" Kyle asked, handing him a glass of water; Jasper nodded his head before quenching his thirst, "Breakfast is almost ready; go change."Jasper returned to his room and washed his face in the sink, staring at his reflection he noticed stubble on his chin, rubbing his chin he decided to shave later, unbuttoning his sage green shirt he changed into a clean pair of grey long-sleeved t-shirt and black trousers, stopping by the room he left Lillian in, he knocked at the door, a minute later the door unlocked and Lillian stared at him confused while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Good morning Lillian," the girl stepped aside as Jasper entered the room, her trunk and bag lay where he left them aside from the pillows and teddy bear which were on the bed, "Mr Brooks will have his trial in a few days, Moody has assured that your father won't be sentenced to Azkaban." Lillian covered her mouth in relief and thanked Merlin.
"When will he return?" She asked, worried, Jasper noticed her hair looked a mess, and she was dressed in white butterfly pyjamas.
"After his trial, his licence as a healer will be taken for a few months, and he'll be at the ministry isolated," Jasper explained, crossing his arms.
"And my Mama?" Lillian questioned, staring at Jasper, who didn't know how to comfort the girl whose tears threatened to spill.
"Your Father says she's in a different city at her best friend's place," Jasper answered glancing at his watch, "Now Lillian, you'd be spending your summer here at my house so you better get used to it, wash your face and come down for breakfast," he added firmly.
Kyle poured coffee and a spoon of cream into a cup, "Thanks, Mrs Cole, I'll handle it from here," Kyle assured taking the bowls from her hand, "Tea? Cadence," the younger Morris shook his head and poured milk into his bowl, he poked at the floating teddy bear shaped cereals trying to drown them, while his left hand held the Daily Prophet skimming through the headlines.
