Ch:2 (Neon Socks)

Adam Brooks took his daughter to Diagon Alley to buy school supplies, turning the corner. Adam recognised Rebeus Hagrid, "Hagrid, how do you do?" Adam greeted, holding out his hand, Hagrid laughed and shook his hand,

"Just strolling around, what about you, Mr. Brooks?" Hagrid asked, noticing a short teenager staring at Hagrid curiously,

"Shopping for Hogwarts," Adam answered, placing his hand on his daughter's shoulder, "This is my daughter, say hello, Munchkin,"

Hagrid smiled at the girl and held out his hand, "Gamekeeper at Hogwarts, Rubeus Hagrid," he introduced, looking back at Adam, who urged his daughter to introduce herself

"Lillian Evelyn Brooks, nice to meet you." she took his large hand in her small one and shook it slowly, Hagrid laughed and patted her head, pushing her hairband at the back with the gesture, Adam took out her hairband and readjusted it on Lillian's head,

"Looks just like you, Adam; how is it at St Mungo's?" Hagrid asked Adam and they started to converse with each other, discussing mundane news of the wizarding world, bored with nothing to do Lillian wandered around the shops, still in Adam's far sight, she stared inside an interesting shop when someone ran into her, falling to the hard floor she furrowed her eyebrows in pain,

"I am sorry, are you fine?" She looked up to find a boy with round glasses holding out his hand, his eyes widened as Lillian stood up, "Lillian? What are you doing here?"

"Harry, you in Diagon Alley?" The gears in Lillian's head turned and realisation dawned on her pale face, "You are a wizard, Harry!" She gasped, covering her mouth,

"Shhh, yes I am. You are a witch?" He asked, looking around, Lillian noticed he had grown taller since last Christmas, his wavy hair poked his green eyes and glasses,

"I received my letter; my Papa is close by; want to say hello?" Lillian offered, Harry contemplated for a while, before nodding his head, Adam turned around to find Lillian gone, his eyes searched widely from shop to shop until she appeared from a corner with Harry,

"Lillian, you disappeared without informing me," Adam's tone was stern., Lillian lowered her head in guilt, and Adam noticed Harry shuffling beside her awkwardly, "Harry, what are you doing here?" Hagrid looked between the three of them confused, "Let's sit and talk." Adam announced,

Seated in Leaky Cauldron with four glasses of Tongue Tying Lemon Squash, Adam rubbed his dark forehead, Harry and Lillian were sipping the drink while peeking at other customers, Hagrid had just finished telling Harry about his parents and why he was famous, "Alright, Harry, since you know about your parents, I'll come clean," Adam took a deep breath both the teenagers staring at him in anticipation,
"Violet has been lying to Petunia for the years that I am a doctor in a hospital, I work at St Mungo's as a healer, I did know your parents from my time at Hogwarts but we weren't acquaintances back then, your mother and my wife are sisters as you already know after Lily's death Violet was grief-stricken and couldn't bear to part from Petunia, so she lied about me and we acted like we didn't know your parents."

Harry stared at Adam with narrowed eyes and flared nostrils. He was starting to show signs of anger, "Papa, is that why you and Mama always made me give gifts to Harry secretly?" Lillian asked, diverting Harry's anger. He was furious, but her question reminded him of their kindness,

Adam was never home for Christmas, leaving his wife and daughter alone at home, during the holiday bizarre cases and patients arrived at St Mungo's, so the two spent Christmas with the Dursleys, Violet was the oldest of the three sisters and married Adam when Lily was in her sixth year, four years later Lillian was born to them, Violet tried to be a mediator between the strained relationship of Lily and Petunia but couldn't help much, once Lily was gone she offered to raise Harry but Petunia denied,
