Shutting the door of the dormitory, Cadence laid out the papers on his bed; he took out the paper he stole from Professor Rhoswen's drawer on Halloween and tried to find a clue, "All of these papers have information, none of which was useful in the least! This paper is bullshit!" He growled, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration, the door banged, "Can't have a moment of privacy with these dorm mates!" He grumbled under his breath and hastily collected the papers and put them in his bag,

"Open the door!" Goyle screamed, banging his arm on the door,

"Yes, yes, coming!" Cadence called swinging his backpack over his shoulder and unlocking the door, "Sorry mate, old habit," he added, walking past them,

Draco turned to stare at Cadence, who was leaving the common room, "He's a weird one," the blonde boy mumbled, entering the dorm room,

Leaning back to read her essay on Potions ingredients Lillian sighed and stretched her arms to ease the tension, she noticed Cadence stomp inside the library and walk past a few tables, he plopped down near the window seat and slammed his backpack on the chair beside him, buried his head in his arms and stared out the window, Lillian stood up from the table she occupied and placed her bag opposite to him, "Hey Cadence," she greeted softly, the boy hid his face in his arms in response,
"You look stressed,"

"It's cause I am." Cadence deadpanned, rubbing his face in his arms,

"Hogwarts not treating you well?" She asked with an amused smile,

"Horrendously well," Cadence lifted his head, "I am so happy to be here, truly, so many people around me all the time, friends everywhere, I am loving this," he added with a smile,

Lillian giggled at his sarcasm, "I see, what's bothering you?"

"This whole place! I can't seem to find privacy no matter what, not a moment of peace, I have half a mind to abandon my education and go back to my room," Cadence complained with an unpleasant expression on his face,

"Agreed, having dorm mates all the time is vexing; I do miss my room," Lillian sighed, missing her home, "Now, other than privacy, what's troubling you?"

Cadence furrowed his eyebrows, "Why do you think something is troubling me?" He questioned suspiciously,

Lillian rested her face on her palm and stared out the window, "You'd be calm if privacy was the only issue troubling you since you are still peeved still, I figured you are troubled,"

Cadence studied her for a moment before burying his face in his arms once again,
"I can't find something I have been trying to for the last two years. Nothing is adding up," he muttered, shaking his head,

"Then try a different route," Lillian suggested watching his fluffy hair. They were always wavy and puffy, like candy floss only more adorable, Lillian's hands itched to touch them,

"Route? I don't know where to start," he admitted, resting his head on his arms,

"What do you want to find out?" Lillian asked absentmindedly, twirling her hair locks in her fingers,

"An old friend of mine, his parents disappeared out of the blue, there are no leads on their disappearance," Cadence answered, the sleeves of his sweater embossing marks on his cheeks

"Did he find out where his parents were the day they disappeared?"

"Hmmm,"

"I mean, the whole day, the people they were in contact with," Lillian clarified, looking at his hair. The urge was hard to resist. She wanted to pet his hair,

"There are too many people involved," Cadence mumbled, raising his head,

"Someone different then, someone they wouldn't usually meet with," Lillian suggested staring at his hair,
