Isagi feels Kaiser’s heavy gaze before he even wakes up. It was like a firm caress that took its time touching each part of his body. He is aware but not quite there. Not yet. So he continues breathing slowly, his body wondering whether to wake itself up or to continue its sleep when Kaiser starts to move around the room, his stare temporarily averted to focus on other matters. He puts his bag down by the work table, takes off his jacket and places it on the chair, starts to unbutton his shirt, and relaxes in a way that none other than Isagi has seen.

But Isagi isn’t seeing anything right now. He’s sleeping. He’s tired from training, his legs ache, and his body is sore from trying to do Kunigami’s training regimen. He also went straight to eating out with Kurona and Hiori even if he was still tired from traveling from Japan just a day ago. Despite this, Isagi’s senses are active and he knows Kaiser is near, probably staring at him again when he should be heading to the shower already. Isagi unconsciously notes that the stare seems particularly strong in the areas his oversized shirt wasn’t covering such as his neck, left shoulder, and thighs. The blanket must have slipped when he tossed and turned in bed which explains the cold he senses on his bare body parts. He almost feels Kaiser raise his hand to reach out and his mind slowly starts warming up, expecting to be awakened.
