orFrom the U-20 match sprang not only victory but also new found rivalry. Yet Blue Lock is a noordinary place, therefore not even the rivalries act out like they normally do.

The shouts in the stadium were everything but over exaggerated. Isagi's goal was as incredible as it was unexpected and left astonishment in everyone's mind and faces as they registered his unexpected goal. Perhaps the only person in the stadium who didn't show their surprise with a smile and a bone crushing hug or a frown was Sae.

Sae chose his way of celebration differently, even if it might seem there was no reason forhim to celebrate in the first place. He lost, after all. The older Itoshi decided to approach Rin, his younger brother, even if he didn't treat him likeone. Somehow he had the urge to tell him his conclusion, his observation, after this match,one Rin dreaded to hear.

When he told him, Sae saw something shifting in both Rin's mind and face. Something farbeyond terrifying, something which only a few dare would dare to tell him, Blue Locks captain and a player with massive skill.It simply wasn't enough for Sae, he just couldn't live up to what he has become, their childhood days long gone.

That's why he didn't feel anything towards Rin, perhaps except for the boredom every time Rin uselessly tried to challenge him. He now only silently wondered if the others could see Rin's terrifying face as well as he did, or if it was former brotherly affection which made him see his true colors.

The colors of someone whose whole career has been built up on revenge and neglect. Someone who has yet to find a reason to live, if he didn't, he was deemed to always be a step shorter of Isagi, if everyone else, even when he didn't think he was.It was almost a pity that he had told him about his opinion on Isagi's potential. Perhaps hewouldn't have been destroyed what seemed like the sprouts of a new will to play, the seeds planted by himself and helped growing by Blue Lock's new number one.

Even if he wouldn't hear it from Sae directly, Sae had already anticipated Rin would let the Isagi one way or another know of this conversation. He didn't know his brother was as good as he used to, not in regards to his interest, which were never nearly as important as football to him,still, his aggressive personality with only a soft spot for him and his manners no one knew quite as well as he did remain.

And from the matches he watched, the trainings in Blue Lock which were not for the public to see, Sae could easily tell who Rin respected and accepted, and who not.Frankly, no one. That impression he had at first, but the later plays proved him different. The boy, soon to beman, who he knew who was going to change football, has already started changing football;it had all started with Rin, the way he had started to passively change him, each match making Rin notice and acknowledge him more.

Maybe the change in football started withIsagi getting the invitation to Blue Lock, when he won his first match there, or when he won the U-20 match. Yet, out of all things he has seen from him and what he had caused, he foundthis one to be the most magnificent. Compared to other Blue Lock players , Rin was always rough, angry and filled withuncontrollable hatred towards them, and that way he was towards Isagi today, too.
