Marc Snuffy doesn't even hear it, but he finally sees the madness for himself.

The Ubers and Bastard Munchen practice match begins just like any normal day. With the exception of adding Itoshi Sae into his chosen team's roster, players file into the training field like usual and huddle with their coaches for a quick meeting before the start of the game. Snuffy makes his way to his team and quickly discusses strategy.

"We've gone up against Noa's team before, so it's not going to be as hard to predict their movements. Remember that we have multiple strategies available for every possibility and-" he stops himself when he notices a good chunk of his players seem distracted. He eyes the direction where they're looking and is surprised to see that they're staring at Bastard Munchen - specifically, Isagi Yoichi.

Snuffy raises an eyebrow in confusion. He looks over at Don Lorenzo and the man is also staring in the same direction. "I'm curious as to what's so interesting over in Bastard that you all stopped paying attention to a team meeting?"

"I just never imagined Itoshi Sae would pick them over us." Lorenzo says. "He doesn't seem to be the type to get along with the likes of Kaiser. Plus, they already have a pretty decent midfielder with Ness."

"Hm, but we've seen a good chunk of Bastard's playstyle. Noa's team is currently divided between Michael and Isagi." and you don't have to be a genius to do the math. If Sae wasn't siding with Kaiser then he's siding with Blue Lock's ace. Snuffy actually understands that part, the logic behind it simple enough.

What Snuffy is currently having a hard time understanding, is why his players keep stealing glances towards Bastard, and glaring at Itoshi when none of them have any other experience playing with the midfielder other than during the U-20 match. Didn't Itoshi just get here? Plus, there was that mass message sent throughout the facility last night too. What was up with that?

Granted, he does have a bit of an idea, thanks to that small conversation he had with some of his members last night. But surely the effect of it can't be this bad.

He follows the eyes of his players again, hoping to get an idea of what's going on - because screw the team meeting right? Not like anyone is actually paying attention.

The members of Noa's team look completely surprised when Sae makes his way to Bastard's side of the field, and members of the German stratum are quick to react to his presence - tensing immediately.

"Jeez, calm down." Sae says with a small huff. "Just thought I'd join up with Bastard today."

Why seems to be the unexpected question all the members, and Noa even - who only nods in acknowledgement, seem to have. The tension is so thick, Snuffy thinks it's only a matter of time before they all suffocate from it. All of them seem to be on edge.

"Sae-san!"

Ah, correction. All but one.

"Yo." Sae actually smiles ‐ while literally everyone else's scowl gets bigger - as Isagi comes over to give the man a high five. "Excited to actually be teaming up with you this time. Looking forward to seeing how well we can work together."

"Ugh. God forbid he actually talks to us like that." Lorenzo says with mock disgust as they watch the interaction play out.

"Does he? You're both in the New Generation's XI right?"

"Hell no. I'm pretty sure I've barely seen Itoshi so much as smile at an opponent's general direction." Lorenzo smirks at that, as if making a realization for himself. "Isagi Yoichi huh? Yeah, that one's definitely worth way more than what the official bids are letting on." It isn't said, but the striker's monetary worth probably isn't what he means. After all, compared to Kaiser's initial standing of 300 million, Isagi has yet to come close.
