Irene pushed open the door to the bustling café, immediately spotting Nathan lounging at a corner table, sipping leisurely from a steaming cup.

"Don't you have work?" she asked, eyebrow raised.

Nathan, ever the drama king, put on an exaggerated pout. "You don't like my presence here? Fine, I'll leave.

Everybody forgets their friends when they get lovers."

Irene rolled her eyes, accustomed to Nathan's theatrics. she sat down across from him, shaking her head in mild amusement.

Moments later, Jennie, one of the café's diligent employee and also their friend approached and placed a slice of caramel pudding front of Irene.

"You and your dramatic antics," Jennie muttered to Nathan, who responded with a chuckle.

Just then, a deliveryman walked in, carrying a large bouquet of vibrant flowers. Irene glanced at the bouquet and noticed the card attached.

"Jennie, a flower bouquet came for you," she called out.

Jennie hurried over, her cheeks flushing as she realized the bouquet was indeed for her. She hesitated, then took the flowers shyly, glancing at Irene with a bashful smile.

Nathan leaned over Irene's shoulder and let out a low whistle. "Looks like someone has an admirer," he teased.

Jennie's face turned a deeper shade of red before she quickly retreated to the kitchen.

"Don't tease her," she admonished, though she couldn't suppress a smile.

"Never thought Rosa would be this diligent about pursuing Jennie," Nathan mused, leaning back in his chair. "She was always so stoic."

Irene nodded thoughtfully.

Rosa a good person. She known her since childhood. She might seem reserved, but has a very warm heart. Both Nathan and Rosa are great, though Nathan's playfulness can be a bit of a headache."

A few minutes later, she made his way to the kitchen.

She found Jennie still admiring the flowers, her smile soft and dreamy.

Irene couldn't help but smile too as she started gathering ingredients for a Lemon cake.

"Do you need help?" Jennie asked, snapping out of her reverie.

"No, I want to make this for Keith. He's been craving it for some time," she replied, concentrating on her task.

Jennie watched her work for a moment before speaking again. "Rosa is really nice. I just get nervous around her".

Irene paused, looking at her kindly. "Jennie, Rosa is a bit stoic, but she's got a warm heart. She means well".

Jennie nodded, a small smile playing on her lips as she returned to her duties.

Irene finished preparing the cake and brought it out to the café area, where she found Keith chatting with Nathan. She set the cake in front of him and kissed him gently on the head.

"How was your day?" she asked, her voice soft.

"Nothing special. Did you make this for me?" Keith's eyes lit up at the sight of the cake.
