Evelyn leaned against the sleek, black marble countertop in her father's office, tapping her fingers idly on the surface.

Her eyes wandered around the room, admiring the polished trophies and awards that her father, the CEO of "F" Entertainment, had amassed over the years.

Being the younger daughter of such a powerful man had its perks, and Evelyn had grown accustomed to the lavish lifestyle it provided.

She was used to getting what she wanted, when she wanted it-except for one thing.

Nathan.

She had seen him a few times at the company, his confident stride and commanding presence turning heads wherever he went.

His voice was as captivating as his looks, and the way he commanded attention made Evelyn's heart race.

Despite her usual indifference toward relationships, there was something about Nathan that made her cheeks flush and her heart flutter like a nervous schoolgirl.

Evelyn had never spoken to him, but her crush on Nathan was no secret to anyone observant.

"Y-yeah," Evelyn stammered, trying to keep her cool. "You're Nathan. I've seen you around."

Nathan laughed softly, his voice like velvet. "I'm surprised you noticed me. I've noticed you too."

Evelyn's face lit up with surprise. "Really?"

"Of course," he purred, stepping closer, invading her personal space just enough to make her nervous. "You're hard to miss."

Evelyn swallowed hard, her mind racing. Was this really happening? Was Nathan actually interested in her?

Nathan watched the mix of excitement and confusion play across her face. He knew exactly what he was doing, and it was thrilling.

He would play the part of the sweet, interested guy, making Evelyn think she had a chance with him, only to crush her later. It was a game he had played many times before, and he never lost.

As they were talking, his phone rang.

"Ah, my agent is calling. See you later."

As he turned to leave, he cast one last glance over his shoulder, catching the look of pure elation on Evelyn's face. She didn't know... She was like a lamb being led to the slaughter.
