Chapter 7: Awakening Desires

"Sir, you need to review this file," said a man with long hair and glasses.

"Put this with the rest of the files. I'll do it later," replied the dark-haired man.

"Sir, are you leaving early today?"

"Yes, I'll take those files. Come back tomorrow to retrieve them," instructed the dark-haired man before leaving the office.

After the man departed, he let out a long sigh.

"The boss always has such a cold expression. It can feel suffocating at times," he remarked.

"But recently, it seems like his personality has become more

relaxed. Could it be because of someone? Has spring finally arrived for the boss?"

Jonah pondered thoughtfully as he continued with his work.

"Boss, it's time to close the cafe," said a staff member.

"You guys go, boss will close it later," said Jennie as she quickly rushed her colleague.

"Okay, chill. Why are you rushing?"

"It's 9pm, it's late. Let's go or you will miss the bus," Jennie said, quickly grabbing her coat.

"Boss, we are leaving."

As they stepped outside, they noticed a man heading towards the cafe.

"Hey, maybe he is going to the cafe. We should let him know it's going to be closed."

"No, boss will handle it,"

Jennie said as she dragged the person, quickly glancing at the man one last time.

"Welcome, dear customer,"

a warm voice greeted Keith as he opened the door.

"Good evening, Irene,"

Keith replied with a smile, returning the greeting.

It had been three months since Keith started coming here twice a week in the evening.

Over time, he and Irene had become good friends, calling each other by their first names.

As Keith settled into his usual seat, Irene placed a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee and some snacks in front of him. She then joined him at the table.

"So, how was your day, Keith?" Irene inquired, munching on a snack.

"It was just the usual. Now, tell me, what did you do today?" Keith asked, taking a sip of the coffee.

The aroma of today's brew was truly enchanting.

They continued their conversation enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the cafe.

"I am feeling quite exhausted today as we have had a lot of customers,"

Irene sighed while laying on the table.

"My shoulders are stiff, and I really don't feel like working anymore ."

Keith found Irene's complaining face adorable and thought to himself, "She's so cute."
