Moaning weakly, Carmilla watched Jane's face and echoed voice go in and out of focus, blurring with her every breath. She has never been more angry and relieved to see Jane all at once, knowing she was lucky that Cole didn't kill her first. "You're an idiot" she murmurs with a soft smile, her hands tingly from the lack of blood circulation in her arms.

"Carmilla, don't you fucking dare. Don't die on me "Jane threatens in between cries, tugging at the chains around Carmilla's wrists, desperate to hold onto her. Carmilla groans in pain, her eyes rolling back as she cries softly.

"Go find her" Carmilla murmurs, coughing at the blood in her mouth, her voice weak and hoarse as she blinks heavily. Jane panics for a moment, conflicted by what to do, find her child or save Carmilla. "Go!" Carmilla chastised with the remaining energy she had left, all she needed right now was to know that Adeline was alive.

At that moment Jane could finally see every emotion Carmilla felt seep through her eyes, her love finally exceeded selfish want, now all Carmilla wanted was Jane to be happy, with or without her. "No, we'll go together, I'm not leaving you here to die" Jane rebukes, her voice cracking as she crawls over to Cole to search for the keys for the cuffs.

"How did you find me?" Carmilla questioned faintly, her eyes following Jane as she sighs in relief after finding the keys.

Crawling back quickly, Jane gently unlocks the cuffs, rapidly catching Carmilla's wrists in her hand. "You shouldn't leave your I-pad around if you didn't want me to find where you were" Jane answered with a weak smile as Carmilla chuckled, her expression quickly fading once she remembered the photo was on the chat as well.

"She's okay, but we need to get her quickly, she doesn't have much time" Carmilla warns weakly, her back slumped forward as she winches in pain.

Unable to speak, Jane nods with a broken hum, her body in shock as she looks at the unrecognizable Carmilla. Her eye swollen as a faint purple forms around her under eyes, her lips bleeding along with a dark shade of blue lining her jaw. Carmilla's skin glows in sweat and tears, blood leaking down her neck, traveling over her white shirt. Carmilla's neat bun was now loose in its band, little hairs stuck to her forehead with the blood from the cut on her head. Jane places her hand over the blade handle, her palm encasing the wood before Carmilla grabs her wrist.

"Don't, I'll bleed out in seconds," Carmilla explains under gritting teeth, pain traveling around in pulses, the only thing keeping her awake. "Take my belt off my love" Carmilla instructed. Jane quickly obeyed, gently unbuckling Carmilla's belt. "That's it, now place it around my thigh, tight, but not too tight" she explained, her words slurring ever so slightly. Gulping down all the stress and panic shooting through her, Jane wraps the belt twice, buckling the belt near the wound. "Thank you. Now help me up, princess" Carmilla whispers as she lifts one knee up, her hands reaching out to Jane as she smiles.

Jane chuckles through her sob, leaning her body down to grab Carmilla's upper back, groaning as Carmilla rests her weight on Jane's shoulder as Carmilla screams in agony. Using all the strength in her core to raise herself to her feet, Carmilla pants heavily as she stands on one leg, her body leaned over Jane.

Catching a glimpse of Cole, Carmilla stands still, taking in the image of her karma that she escaped once more. The world halts its spin as a sympathetic wail from the sky above forms in her chest, watching the blood pool under his body. The scene contrasted the peace in her chest perfectly, knowing at least Genevieve has her love now, Bonnie and Clyde reunited in harmony. Their bond was like no other, a single look could shift moods and conversations, a friendship of trust and betrayal. The once joyful memories, now a faded nostalgia, the final player knocked down.
