"Lily! Come on! Wake up!" Nina called.
I rolled over. "No! I have to get up at 5 on a regular basis! I will not get up early today! I deserve it!"
Nina rolled her eyes. "Come on Lil-"
Dad poked his head in the room. "Lily, time to get up!"
I growled really horrible words under my breath and flipped off my blanket.
Nina leaned in the door. "Sooooo, your going to ignore me, but the second your Dad askes you, your up and adam?"
I glared at her. "Well I mean yeah? What do you expect me to do?"
Nina snorted. "Oh I don't know, maybe ignore it?" She shook her head. "You are not a normal teenager Lily, I swear it."
It was my turn to snort. "You have obviously never felt the snap of a leather belt, because if you had? You would be 'Up and Adam' too."
Nina's smile fell. "Holy shi- wow, I never took your parents as those type of people to do that, they always seemed so nice."
I raised my eyebrows at her. "Their literally both serial killers."
Nina grimaced. "I suppose that makes sense... um I guess."
She shook her head. "Anyhow, um do you want breakfast up here or downstairs?"
I shrugged. "Downstairs is fine."
The girl nodded. "Um okay, but how are we going to get you down there?"
I laughed. "Why don't you ask my Dad, he'll take me down there."
Nina nodded and turned to leave, but stopped. "Um hey Lily?"
I looked to her. "Yeah?"
She looked at her hands. "You're looking a lot better than you did before..."
I smiled. "Thanks."
Nina smiled too, and left.
I flopped backwards back onto my pillow, thinking about last night.

Something was in my room, I could have sworn it.
You know what?
I will swear it.
I swear there was something in my room.
There, still think I'm crazy?
Probably, but that's beside the point!
What it was though... I couldn't even take a guess.
After I had snapped out of my trance, I had tasted something... metallic, or electricy?
Kind of tasted like an open electrical wire.
No...
Maybe it was metal...
"Miss Nina told me you needed assistance, what might you need my dear?" My Dad asked.
I jumped.
"Oh hi, yeah I just needed some help getting downstairs."
He leaned on the door frame. "Your going to eat with us today?"
I nodded. "Yep."
"So I am your chauffeur today?"
I nodded eagerly.
Dad smiled and hefted me onto his back, giving me a piggyback ride all the way to the dinning room.
The room had been remodeled to be more of a buffet.
With round tables spread around the room, with one long one in the middle.
I was pleased to fine that the long one had been filled with all sorts of food.
Mom smiled when she saw us. "Well looks like you've put your Dad to work."
I nodded. "I have, yes."
She laughed. "Well then, we should get some food before it's gone!"
Dad nodded and we walked to the table, grabbing plates.
Dad handed his to me. "Here, you have to help me out here, in return for me lugging you around."
I laughed. "Oh I see, you have to carry me, so I have to carry your things?"
He shook his head. "Not exactly my dear, if I hold that, you will end up on the floor, and no one want that."
I tipped my head. "That makes sense... well okay! what would you like?"
We made our way through the line and finally sat down.
Throughout the morning people just kept pulling up chairs and eating and talking with us.
By the end, we had half the kids and most of the adults sitting around the little round table.
I felt only a little squished.
Molly draped an arm over my shoulders. "So Lil, we were thinking-"
I raised an eyebrow. "Who's we?"
She gestured around the table. "Uh Me, Nina, Peter, Sammy, Neo, NOT Evan."
I crossed my arms. "Okay, what have you been, 'thinking about'?"
Molly folded her legs. "So, we figured that you needed a day out, sooooo we were thinking that we would get the kids together,  get you a wheelchair and go to the mall...."
I leaned back in my chair, slack faced. "Hmm."
For reasons unknown to me, Mom burst out laughing.
We all looked at her. "What?" I asked.
"You sound- you sound exactly like-" she continued cackling and fell off her chair onto the floor.
Alastor leaned over her. "Are you alright my dear?"
Mom ignored him and hit the floor with her fist, still laughing. "You-you sound like AL!"
And she continued to howl with laughter.
I cocked my head, tipping my ears slightly and not saying anything- which only made her laugh harder.
Dad sat with his chin in his hands, staring into the distance with a smile.
He knew what she was talking about, and judging by all the adults now laughing around the table, they did too.
I put my hands down on the table. "Okay seriously! What's going on?"
Aunt Charlie chucked and put a hand on my shoulder. "Oh just some strong genes from your Dad going on there."
I pursed my lips. "Hmm."
Vaggie died on the floor.
I glanced at Nina who just shrugged and smiled, mouthing, 'Adults I tell you.
I smiled too.
Mom finally dragged herself off the floor, and leaned on Dad's shoulder, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Oh those genes are strong indeed." she said.
Dad rolled his eyes and chuckled. "I guess so."
I watched as their eyes locked and Mom full on kissed him, while-very sneakily I might add- stole a piece of bacon off his plate.
She pulled back and sat back down, very satisfied with her reward.
Dad smiled and looked back to his breakfast, before stopping and staring at the wall.
   "Rosie."
Mom took a bite out of the piece of bacon. "Yes Al?"
"You are very dirty sometimes, you know that?"
She smiled. "I do, yes."
It was my turn to laugh.
They were ridiculous, but I loved them.
