Rosie's Pov
I watched with a smile as Alastor danced his daughter around the parade.
I had never thought that I would get to see Alastor as a human again, I mean, he was hot as a demon, but as a human?
...
I'll stop there.
Anyhow, watching him spend time with Lily warmed my heart.
I laughed to myself as I remembered how that morning had went down, the morning Al figured out he was going to have a daughter.

That morning.........

I sat in bed, thinking.
Should I tell him now?
Nah, he doesn't need to know immediately...
Rosie! Get the fuck over it! The longer you drag it out, the worse it will get.
But I could just wait a little longer...
NO!
I sat up.
This. Was. Happening.
I wrapped my bath robe around me and walked down the stairs, stopping at the kitchen doors.
Should I...
No.
I. Was. Doing. This.
I opened the doors and walked through.
I found Alastor at the table, a bunch of papers spread in front of him, and coffee cup in hand.
He looked like he was about to fall asleep.
Upon hearing me enter, Al's ears swiveled and he looked at me. "Oh, good morning darling."

I gave a nervous laugh and sat down next to him

I gave a nervous laugh and sat down next to him. "Sooooo, whatcha working on?"
Al chucked his pen onto the table. "Taxes, I've been working on them all night."
He snorted. "Because apparently even I have to give Lucifer money, I'm guessing that has something to do with his beef with me, since the other Overlords don't have to."
I smiled. "Probably."
He sighed and rubbed his eyes before setting his chin in his hands and turning full attention to me. "So, how did you sleep?"
I looked everywhere but him. "Oh fine."
Alastor stopped in the middle of a sip of coffee. "Are you sure?"
I nodded. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
He stared at me over the brim of his cup. "...Never mind."
I stood up and walked to the counter, making myself a cup of tea, jasmine, to be exact.
It calmed me down.
Sitting back down, I said. "Okay, so maybe there it is something."
Alastor finished signing a paper, muttering, "there it is." Under his breath, before turning to me.
"Yes?"
I stretched my arms out. "Soo, this is kind of big, so get ready."
My husband folded his hands and leaned back in his chair.
I sucked in a breath and looked at the ceiling. "You have to promise not to... freak out or anything, okay?"
Al tipped his head, narrowing his eyes at me. "Are you actually going to tell me anything?"
I banged my head against the table. "You know what? A: Fuck you. B: Your going to be a father!"
Alastor spit out his coffee. "W-what?"
I nodded staring blankly at the coffee-stained papers on the table, definitely  not looking at him. "Yep... Father, that's a big step up..." I puffed out my cheeks. "Yeah..." by now I was mostly talking to myself.
Al planted his hands on the table, standing up. "What? Wai- you mean- hold on- I- Your-" He stopped and just stared at me wide eyed.
I nodded slowly. "Yup..."
He stared at the table with a blank expression, before a big smile came to his face.
Alastor picked me up and spun around. "Rosie, you have no idea how happy you just made me."
I smiled. "Well I'm glad."
He pulled me closer to his chest. "Were going to be parents..." He whispered.
Suddenly his eyes went wide. "That means were going to be parents."
Al winced. "Aw shit...."
I laughed and patted his cheek. "We'll be okay."
He took a deep breath. "Yeah... what could possibly go wrong?"
I smiled. "Nothing.
   "You sure?"

I shook myself out of the memory, no longer seeing Lily or Alastor anymore.
I stiffened, scanning the crowd.
  "May I?"
I spun around to find my husband, bent as the waist and holding out a hand.
Smiling, I took his hand. "You may."
