Escape

  "Oh fuck-"
I sat up blinking.
Who?
I turned around found Velvette at the bars.
I wheezed and fell back onto the floor. "What do you want?"
Velvette glanced around. "U-um deary? What are you doing here?"
I sat up. "You don't know?"
She shook her head. "Say, are you alright? You don't sound so-"
I flicked on the lights.
Her eyes went wide. "The fuck?! What happened?"
I blinked back a tear at her concern, I had forgotten what It had felt like for someone to care. "Vox."
She grabbed the bars and stuck her hand through, cupping my cheek in her hand. "U-uh don't worry, we'll get you out."
Velvette backed up and looked around the room.
"Why did I ever trust him..?" she muttered to herself.
"You said Vox did this? This torture?"
I slid back to the floor. "Yes."
She shook her head and sighed. "I-I never thought- him of all people?"
I nodded. "He's going crazy, insane, mad."
Velvette grimaced. "Finally? I figured it would happen eventually."
She walked back to me with a crowbar.
I was surprised by how strong Neo's aunt was as she pried the bars apart with it.
His aunt chucked the crowbar aside and helped me out.
It was also surprising when she pulled me into a hug. "You poor little fawn, I can tell how much you've been through by just looking at you."
Little Fawn.
Tears started pouring at the nickname my father had given me.
I really wanted to see him again, but I still had a long way to go.
Velvette ran her hand over my hair. "Shh, it's okay, you'll be okay. I do have bad news though."
She sighed. "This is the farthest I can help you."
I sniffed, trying to regain control of my body again. "Yes, you must go. You have already done so much."
Velvette smiled and walked back to the cell, rearrange some things, most likely making it look like I had escaped by myself.
She waved and started walking towards the door.
I took a step towards her. "Wait!"
Velvette glanced back. "Hmm?"
I fiddled with my fingers. "W-why did you help me?"
A faint smile crossed her lips. "I always knew Neo had a thing for you, your beautiful, kind, and your an Altruist so you just have an attracting ora around you." She chuckled. "It's what Neo would have done, but... he's gone so we have to do it for him."
I smiled. "Yeah... it's what Neo would have done..."
Velvette left, leaving the door open just a smidge so I could get out.
I sighed and started my journey home.

I silently walked down the halls, being careful to avoid everyone.
I turned the corner and came face to face with Vox.
His eyes went wide. "You LITTLE P-"
Vox never finished his sentence because I reached up and pinched his shoulder.
He fell to the floor, motionless.
I smiled, waving. "Nerves bitch, very useful when you know where they are!" I said, mocking his voice.
He ground his teeth. "SECURITY!!!"
I winced. "Not so loud on the ears man."
I spun around and looked out the window. "Well, Geronimo..."
And I jumped.
It was only the second story, but it still hurt.
I crashed onto the ground and breathed hard.
I WAS OUT!!!
I looked around at the beautiful sight of hell itself, it had been a... I didn't actually know how long it had been.
Cannibal town was only two miles away... if I could get there... then I would be home free.
The Cannibals kind of thought of me as their princess I guess, so if I got to the border, I would have a whole army of blood thirsty cannibals who would be ready to eat anyone who messed with me.
But I was still fully able to be taken back right now... so I drew myself to my feet and kept walking despite the pain.
I walked in the shadows and ended up spending about ten whole minutes digging around in a garbage can looking for something to put over my head.
I guessed I would be very distinguishable by the black tipped white hair and deer ears.
I finally found something and stuffed and crammed my ears under the hat.
To say the least, I wanted to rip it off that very instant.
At least the hat kept my ear from bleeding more?
Someone bumped me.
I looked up to find one of Vox's men next to me and pushing through the crowd, looking.
I stopped breathing.
Didn't stop walking, but stopped breathing.
When I tried to walk in the opposite direction, the man yelled and threw his arms out, smacking me in the head.
But he didn't even look at me as he said. "Damn it! Vox is going to kill us! Shit!" He pulled out a Walki Talki. "Men, we gotta no go, I can't find her." and he turned around, walking away.
I almost burst into tears just thinking about how close that was.
So I continued.
Keeping on walking in a haze.
Everything hurt, everything seemed like it was bleeding, my back was stinging so I just felt like trash in general.
"COME AND GET YOUR DEEP FRIED EYEBALLS FOR HALF OF ON THE WEEKEND!!" I heard someone call.
My head snapped up.
Cannibal town.
Middle of town
Middle of town
Middle of town

That's the farthest I had to go, to my house in the middle of town.
I half walked half stumbled and when I saw the black spirals of the tower roofs, I broke into a twisted and broken run.
When I came in sight of the house, I saw Mom on the porch.
I threw the hat off and tried to run faster.
  "Mom!" I cried.
Her head flew up and she stood up. "ALASTOR!! SHE'S HOME!!"
Mom ran and met me in the middle, swooping me off my feet and spinning around. "My little Lily..."
Dad practically broke the door. "What!?"
He saw us and ran down the stairs taking me from Mom. "Lily, Lily darling your okay."
He squeezed me and actually started crying.
I had never seen it before.
Never actually thought it was possible, but he did.
And so did I.
And Mom who hugged us both.
The back of my shirt-er what was left of my shirt, was soaked with tears by the time Dad pulled back. "We didn't know what happened to you Lily, do you know how terrifying that is?"
I hugged him. "Dad, I-I didn't mean anything I said, It wasn't me! It wasn't me talking! It-It was-"
Dad silenced me with a hand. "I don't care Lily, It doesn't matter right now. I didn't mean anything I said either."
I dug my face into his neck. "I'm glad..."
Dad stopped breathing. "Lily... what happened?"
I glanced at my back, where he was looking and saw all the dried blood and scabs and raw skin.
  "Um...I-I-I-...Vox."
Dad's eyes went to fire. "Hehe... Vox?"
Tears filled my eyes and I leaned my head on his shoulder as I remembered... everything.
"It was horrible Dad, it was torture, I-I don't I can't- and then Valentino to- I I can't even-"
Alastor seemed to decide that violence was not the right move today and he pulled me closer, running a hand through my hair. "Shhh, it's okay. We'll be okay."
He turned and started walking back towards the house when Mom stopped. "Alaso-"
I saw her.
I saw her before mom had finished her sentence.
Dad blew out a breath. "Shit."
There, on the porch, stood a girl.
A girl about, six foot ten, bright red hair, tall fluffy dear ears, big blood red eyes, and a round pair of glasses perched on top of her nose.  Her black tipped hair and ears glistened in the sunlight, shining multicolored like a ravens feathers.
I squinted at her, then squinted at Dad.
Dad's ears went back. "Aw fuck...." he muttered.
Mom winced. "Well! Lily, um, Meet Taylor Altruist... your sister."
