I looked up at him through my eyelashes. I couldn't tell if it was due to the night sky that his eyes looked more darker than usual but I was thankful. My eyes glistened with tears as a smile made its way to my face.
I shot up from my position, my knees buckling in the process.
A yelp left my mouth as I stumbled onto him. Instinctively his hands quickly steadied my waist as my head rested on his chest.
Without thinking my arms wrapped around him, and tears began to blur through my eyes.
I felt so much better knowing that he was here.
It wasn't that many hours ago that I was lying in my bed hurt because of him but at this moment, I couldn't bother to think about it.
All I could think about was the steady rhythm of his heart that was calming me down. And the warmth he provided against my shivering body.
The feeling of his arms slightly enclosing my figure to his registered. The gesture made me feel safe. A feeling that I've been craving ever since I walked into that party.
After a few minutes, he retraced from the embrace, his hands moved up to shift my head until I was looking into his eyes.
My smile wavered as tears glistened in my eyes. For some reason, my vision felt a bit hazy and my hand that was tightly gripping his shoulder had now grown loose.
"Thank you." I had whispered as black dots entered my vision. I let out a sigh as my head shifted down.
"Taylor, look at me."
My face jerked up to meet Mr. Ford's gaze. I was surprised to see that his eyes were full of concern.
Both his hands had now let go of my waist and now had shifted to either side of my face.
His eyes scanned my face, "Stay with me."
My eyes grew heavy, a slight pang was felt in my chest as I tried to keep my eyes open. I felt sadness due to the concerning man in front of me.
I didn't want him to worry, I didn't want anyone to worry.
My hand reached up. I grabbed ahold of the back of his hand that was now brushing my cheek, wiping the tears I didn't even know were escaping my eyes.
A small smile grew on my face as I tried to ignore the black dots that seemed to grow bigger.
"I'll be fine, I'm just-" My eyes grew lidded as my speech grew slower, "- a bit...tired."
It was then that the darkness consumed my vision.
...
"Mhmm,"
I rubbed my cheek against the pillow, feeling a sudden relief at how good the cold pillow felt.
Wait... pillow?
My eyes snapped open as I sat up.
I hissed feeling the banging in my head. I looked around the room only to be surrounded by darkness.
I turned around, leaning over the nightstand to turn on the lights.
I hissed again as the room illuminated.
After a few times rubbing my eyes, I finally opened them, taking in my surroundings.
"Where am I-"
"Taylor, stay with me."
It was then that it dawned on me that I was at their house.
Before I could further think about it, a wave of nausea washed over me. Harshly.
