My Professors

French Toast

I twist open the door and enter the room. I close the door behind me and lean against it.

A sigh leaves my lips as I close my eyes. 

"What a morning..."  I sigh.

After leaving Professor Ford's house, I called the taxi company waiting a little while as I walked down the road. The taxi driver stared too long at me but I could only imagine it was due to my disheveled appearance.

And right as I entered the dormitory I had to practically bed the lady to give me a key since I had lost time. 

But now I could finally rest.

Peace at last.

"Taylor!"

I snap my eyes open seeing Aria on her bed, leaning against it to confirm my presence.

Spoke too soon...

"H-hey," I acknowledged. I walked to my drawer, grabbing some clothes for the shower.

I preferred to leave this discussion for later. To be honest it wasn't her fault about what happened.

I needed to work on setting boundaries and saying no when I didn't want to. However, it was much easier said than done.

"I'm really sorry for what I did yesterday. I shouldn't have forced you to drink, at all. I just wanted you to loosen up and have fun. But now I realize that I should have respected you." She spoke. 

I looked up at her, seeing her nervous expression as she sat against the bed.

"I promise to never do something like that again. Ever." She said meeting my gaze, nodding her head firmly as reassurance.

I gave her a reassuring smile, "Don't sweat it."

If it was someone else they would have probably had more to say but I didn't. Well, not any at the moment that I could come up with.

I just wanted to take a nice warm shower and lie down. 

"Really?" Aria looked at me wide-eyed. She quickly got up running to give me a hug.

My hands stayed by my side surprised by the embrace. 

"Okay, I'm going to go get us ice cream from the store while you get comfortable. I'll be back!" She said before running out of the room.

Taking her statement into account, I headed to the shower.

After the long shower, I got changed. The whole day was spent with me and Aria watching movies on her laptop while eating ice cream. She had also bought chips.

I felt the reason she did this was because she felt bad about what happened, so I went along with it.

~Monday~

"Taylor!"

I snap open my eyes at someone calling my name. I sit up instantly seeing Aria go to the bathroom.

"We have to start getting ready, Leo and Tom are waiting for us." I hear her say followed by the sound of her brushing her teeth.

"I'm not gonna make it." I drop back into the bed closing my eyes.

Just five more minutes.

Not even a second later Aria comes back out, "Leo has been worried about you and you have class in thirty minutes. Still want to stay sleeping?"

I let out an irritated grow before I harshly rip the blankets off me.

"Fine," I mumble.
