tw: very light implied sui
semicolon:
my work isn't professional.
its about edgy teenage girls with pink hair being abused,
and sad gay boys in love with their roommates.
it's childish and stupid;
who cares?
until i use a semicolon.
listen to the crowd scream,
"put him on the stages with bo burnham",
"give him your every penny",
"feed him the attention he's so addicted to"
"put his name in lights!!"
a semicolon.
nothings more professional than a dot and a dash.
a semicolon on the screen,
to match the one on my wrist.
listen to them put my poems to music,
no one will listen to the lyrics,
the intention of my words.
the dot and dash hold enough shock factor,
tell enough story,
to last a whole song.
the semicolon will save me.
