I stepped into the room, immediately catching sight of Rose with Stefan, Damon, and Elena. Damon's gaze flicked to me, a look of impatience crossing his face as he spoke up.
"Great, we can finally start," he announced, a touch of sarcasm evident.
"Start what?" I replied, aiming my words with a hint of a grin toward Rose. "A vampire club where we show off how many people we've kidnapped?" My tone was half-joking but more pointed than playful. Rose glared at me, her icy stare sharp, but I brushed it off.
Damon, as usual, couldn't stop talking. "She's aware of who's coming for Elena," he explained, "and yes, we know all that. You're here to make sure everything she says checks out."
"Lovely," I retorted, my voice thick with sarcasm. "But I'm not a supernatural search engine. Can't you find someone else for this?"
"Nope," Damon shot back, a smug grin plastered on his face. I grabbed a nearby pencil and hurled it at him, but he caught it effortlessly. With a sigh, I plopped down on the couch beside Elena as Rose began to speak.
"Elijah may be dead, but this isn't over. The Originals will come for her, doing it for him," Rose said, her voice grave.
I stiffened, realizing the conversation was veering uncomfortably close to home, involving my brothers and sister. I kept silent, but tension coiled in my gut.
"Doing it for who?" Stefan questioned, his voice cautious.
"Klaus," Rose replied.
Damon and Stefan turned to me, confusion clouding their faces.
"Wait," Damon said, his eyes narrowing. "Isn't Klaus your brother, Rory?"
"Yes," I admitted, my voice even, though a storm brewed inside.
"So, your brother wants to kill Elena?" Stefan asked, disbelief coloring his words.
"Yeah... I'm sorry I didn't mention it earlier," I said quickly, a touch of guilt slipping through. "I meant to, but things got complicated—especially after Elena and I were kidnapped."
Damon cut me off. "It's fine. We know now."
"Good," I said, a deadly calm taking over my voice. "But call me Aurora again, and I'll stab your eyes out with a fork." Damon laughed, but he knew I wasn't joking.
"Rose, continue," he said, shifting back to business.
"Okay," Rose said, hesitant. "I only know what I've learned over the years. I can't guarantee it's all true."
"That's why Rory's here," Damon interjected.
"But one thing I do know for sure: Klaus is real."
Elena's brow furrowed. "Who is he?" she asked, fear threading through her voice.
