4: BLOOD RIVALS

Short Excerpt from my Upcoming Book: Blood Rivals

Hwang Hyunjin and Hwang Sam, twins of the most powerful mafia clan in Korea, were known for their ruthlessness and power and wealth.
They were feared and respected.
Yet, despite their power and influence, they had one weakness: Lee Felix.

Hyunjin stood in his private quarters, staring out the window, his thoughts consumed by Felix. He knew his twin too well; Hwang Sam was equally as obsessed as him for his love interest Lee Felix.

Both Hyunjin and Sam knew one thing for certain, they would do whatever it took to win Felix's heart, even if it meant  being rivals with their own blood.

Felix's bakery was a cozy little place, filled with the warm aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. He moved busily behind the counter handling the dough and icing. The evening rush had just ended, and the bakery was starting to empty out.

Sam had been sitting in the corner of the bakery for some time now, watching Felix with keen interest. His eyes followed every movement, every smile Felix offered to his customers. There was something almost hypnotic about Felix.

The bakery was starting to empty out as the last few customers left, leaving Felix with some time to take the remaining boxes of pastries and ingredients into the pantry. He noticed Sam, lingering near the counter.

"Hi Sam, nice to see you again. Just give me a moment while I take these boxes to the pantry."

Felix gave Sam a smile as he picked up a stack of boxes. Sam's eyes followed him, a flicker of happiness lighting up his face at the chance to spend some time with Felix alone.

"Do you need any help with those, Felix?"

"Thank you for that, but it's just a few, I can manage."

Felix carried the boxes into the pantry, with Sam close behind. The small space was filled with shelves stocked with baking supplies and ingredients.
Sam  rarely had the opportunity to be alone with Felix, especially since Hyunjin was often around.

'Finally, a moment alone with Felix. I wish Hyunjin wasn't always trying to be up Felix's ass.'

"You do an amazing job with this place, Felix. It must be a lot of hard work."

Felix smiled, placing the boxes on a shelf. "It is, but I love it. Baking has always been my passion. Plus, it's rewarding to see people enjoy what I make."

"I can see that. It really shows."

"Felix.I know you're usually busy, but if you ever need an extra hand, I'm always around."

"I'll keep that in mind, Sam. It's always nice to have someone to talk to, especially someone as thoughtful as you."

Felix stood on a stool, reaching up to stack some extra cardboard boxes on the top shelf. The pantry was a small, confined space., so Sam was standing close by.
