Don't forget the little people,
Don't neglect the simple things
Don't commercialize to privatize justice
Don't throw away your humanity
The things that endure the harrowing ages
Are so far from the minds of modern lifetimes
Who spend fortunes on the confusion of sages
Making viruses, vaccines, pandemics, quarantines
Of what value are powerful men in greedy alliance
Is it not evidenced in the teeming graveyards
of our day?
But what is the cost of a decade of just being okay?
Is a century of mankind peacefully existing, not enough defiance?
Say thank you for the vegetables you cant create
For the chicken you ate, for the pouring rain
For the little things that keep you safe
From scientific troubleshooting politicking gain
I am so grateful for the hope
That regularly earth upon bone is squeaky clean
Made possible by this little innovative thing
This freshly scented bar of soap
