"Did you get anything else from him? I don't even know who that is." I heard Colton quietly yelling about something from the bathroom. His night only went about as well as he would let it. Our time on the beach was nice, but him trying to go to sleep was a nightmare.

I got up and grabbed my robe. It was no longer on the lounge chair it was on before. I could still hear Colton's aggravated tone behind the door.

"Figure it the hell out. If anything happens to my girlfriend, my family, or my brand, hell is going to break fucking loose." His grunt was followed by a loud slam. I ran over to the door and knocked. "Yes, come in."

I entered the bathroom to find him leaning on the counter with his head in his hands. "You alright, baby?" I asked quietly. He looked up and opened his arms. I walked to him and joined him in a hug. He didn't respond back to me, and this told me the kind of mood he would be in for today. I rubbed his back to calm him. "I'm pretty sure the people will be here with breakfast menus in a few minutes, you want to go lay back down?"

"No it's alright. I have to go take care of some things. If you want me to lay with you for a bit I can."

"You don't have to. I know you're dealing with things right now." He gave me on more kiss on my forehead and released me from his grasp. He walked out of the bathroom and I got myself ready.

I joined the rest of the house in the kitchen as we all got our meals. One of them asked me about the noise from this morning.

"Colt is dealing with some things back at home. It's just stressful, we're sorry about the noise."

"It's alright," another member responded, "we just wanted to know if everything was okay. If you need something I'm here."

"Thank you. We're okay."

We all sat around the bar and table and ate our food. I had a few good conversations with Reese and a friend of hers. Most of the conversation was them giving me advice about domestic issues. I shut it down as much as I could, but I realized that people may have a certain idea about what they heard.

After our food was gone, we all had to figure out how to spend our last free day. My day was initially planned around Colt, but I'm sure we won't be able to get around to doing any of the things we were going to.

I retreated back to my room and hopped back into bed. I scrolled through messages and emails to kill time. I got a call from my father checking in on me, a few messages from my girlfriends back at home, and a confusing email from an address in the Tucker Medicinal Industries. It was in codes and encrypted messages that I couldn't decipher.

Those ignorant to a truth they can't understand are those who will allow it to continue once they know. Lies create shackles that bound you to the past, but the truth will set you free.

What the hell?

I closed my phone quickly after that and tried to ignore it. I thought about calling someone, but who? I got up from the bed and paced around the room. I organized drawers, watched a tv show, and stared out of the window to clear my mind. My phone buzzed a few times, but I didn't want to pick it up. I heard my messages ding continuously, but I had no strength to check.
