Third Person
Detective Mathews made a phone call to one of his bosses. After being given his assignments, he knew that he would have to make a decision on which one to stay loyal to. On one hand, the Tuckers wanted answers for what was happening overseas. Mathews knew there was a possibility that they would send back up to check in on what's happening. On the other hand, another group wanted any affiliation to the Tuckers to be wiped out. Being a double agent wasn't something Mathews ever found difficult, but when emotions and families get involved, it becomes a different story.
He was on the phone with Billy Tucker as he prepared himself for a final meeting with the managers. "You think being defiant and not telling me what's happening over there will protect your ass, but you know who I am. You know better than to try and play me like a fool. I have eyes everywhere, especially on you. Don't think you can get away with whatever you're hiding. I will figure it out, and get your ass taken out. Lose this number." The call ended abruptly, and Billy sunk down into his chair.
There were papers and news articles circulating everywhere about the odd things happening on the island. Mathews was too vengeful to care for how terrible his decisions would be once they became known.

"Mathews, I have a job for you." Billy Tucker walked into Mathews office with a folder in one hand and a coffee in the other. Gregory took both of the items and sat them down on the table. Billy took a seat at the desk and crossed his arms over each other.
"How may I be of assistance?" Gregory gave his boss his undivided attention. He knew the things that were about to come out of Billy's mouth were not going to be ethical or correct things, but he knew not to question it.
"My son will be on a trip in a few months with his girlfriend and my daughter in law. Also going to be on this trip is that Henson girl. The one with the dead brother. I've been tracking her moves for some time, and I fear that she may try to take my son out. I need you to keep an eye on them." Gregory took a sip of the coffee and leaned back in his chair.
"Are you sure about it? I mean, it happened some time ago. Maybe she's willing to drop it."
"I'm not going to take chances on my son's life." Gregory gave a sideways look out of confusion. There was no other reason for this surveillance besides covering up tracks. If Henson knows things about the Tucker family and decides to expose them, they could be out of business. "I also need you to watch my son and his girlfriend. I don't need anything happening. The last thing I need is a scandal coming up." Gregory shut his eyes and took another sip of the beverage. He shook his head and looked back up at his boss.
"The Henson's were never a threat to you or your reputation. Even with her brother, this could put us in an even worse situation. I can't do it."
"You will." Billy straightened his posture and got closer to Gregory. "I have gunmen waiting by your father's house and there are tiny little poisonous bacteria floating in your body right now. I have medicine for you if you want it." Billy pulled out a pill cylinder and held it out. Gregory sat in disbelief. "Do as I say, you know better than to not."
Billy stood up and threw the bottle with a single pill in it at Gregory. The older man gave his devilish smile and walked out of the room. Gregory rushed to get water to choke the pill down. He sat back at his desk and went through the folder that was handed to him. There were pictures of each of the people BIlly mentioned, including some of their family members. He got to a picture of an older man he worked with in the past. Henry. Henry's picture and information was paperclipped to a young woman, Fantasia, who was described to be Colotn's girlfriend.
In Henry's file, there were portions of his past that rang bells in Gregory's head. He remembers the story of his wife passing away. It was ruled an accidental death due to the loss of blood and fluids. He also remembers the amount of reports the hospital had gotten from the family during the pregnancy, pertaining to complications.
A reporter Gregory had spoken with in the past mentioned writing a story on the mistreatment of pregnant mothers, and the Tuckers were the main focus. He thought of "taking care" of the reporter, but he also knew that he only wanted to do it to save himself from Billy's wrath. He let the reporter go off and now they could be expecting a story soon.
He finished with the files and put them in his desk. He thought of calling his father to warn him, but his wires were probably tapped.

It may not have been the best idea to have a parade at this time, but people love to party. No amount of threats or scares could take away the human natural desire for pleasure. There had been multiple reports of a man lurking around, trying to get to people. Gregory immediately jumped on it.
He prepared himself to go out, but sent a message to a friend.

Fantasia
Reese and I rummaged through clothes to find me an outfit to wear tomorrow. I thought of wearing something slightly modest, but appropriate for the weather. I'm in a new place, but the risk of being harassed anywhere is too high for me to completely let loose.
"What about this dress?" Reese asked. I looked over to see that she was holding up a pink striped dress. The bottom was flowy, but the dress was thin. I was a fan of it and just shook my head. She put it back with my things and continued to look. Taraji walked into the room and handed us bottles of water. I thanked her and went back to my search.
"If you don't have anything, I have a few outfits for you to try." Taraji told me. She found her outfit sometime before she came over to help look. She started to slack off though and wasn't exactly looking the way I asked her too.
"My dad used to make me these beautiful dresses that could go for any event in any season, I wish I had known this was happening. I could've asked him to make me one."
"Your dad makes clothes?" Reese asked. I nodded my head and she seemed impressed. "That's really cool. Have you made clothes before?"
"A few times. I just kind of filled it, it wasn't like I did an entire thing. Here, let me show you." I pulled out my phone and unlocked it. The very first thing I saw was a news article titled, "Clara Tucker Pronounced Dead in Atlanta Home." My mouth fell open and I tried to cover it up. Taraji and Reese rushed over to me in confusion.
They both looked at what I was looking at. We sat in disbelief for a while until I scrolled down. I saw a mention of accidental overdose on substances. I wonder if she was sick. Maybe even the fact that she still doesn't know what happened with Colt. Nothing about this feels accidental, and I'm terrified that something bigger is coming.
Taraji rubbed my back and I laid my chin on my hand. This has to be Colton's father.
