I got in the car with Billy yesterday to finally get some end to this entire situation. I regret leaving Taraji that way, but this is the only way I can do anything. I agreed to go somewhere with Billy. I know he still has no idea what happened to his son, and there's no way in hell he would let me die before he figures it out.

I'm in a building with him that I've never seen before. I can tell we're far from everything else because we drove in a mostly straight line the entire way. I still have my phone on me, but it died a while ago. I was able to send my friends a message about me being okay, but I wasn't able to send an apology.

I sat with my hands crossed in my lap under the long circular table. I didn't see his two security guards, so I'm assuming they were arrested from yesterday. They were replaced with two other men around their same sizes. Everyone sat still and quiet, it was awkward as hell.

The large metal door opened and Detective Mathews entered. He looked as if he had gotten beaten pretty bad. We made eye contact until he was shoved inside the room with us. The door slammed shut and he found a seat not too far from where I sat. I attempted to move close but one of the guards shot me a serious look that told me not to try anything besides sit still.

"Mathews? What are you doing in here?" He looked up from the table and into my eyes. All I could see in them was fear. He shook his head at me and his attention returned to its original place. "Does anybody know what the hell we're doing here?" I'm fed up with all of it. The secretive shit, the silence, I'm done with it all. After getting no answer, I thought to get up and try to get out.

Mr. Tucker came in with pieces of paper and a confusing look. He shot me a glare then tapped on the table for one of his guards. The guard got up and stood right next to him as Mr. Tucker whispered something to him. After they pulled apart, the guard gave a hand signal that let the other know that they were leaving the room. Once the door closed, my heart felt like it would explode.

"Why are the two of you sitting so far away? Let's get closer." Mr. Tucker mentioned and tried to get us to come closer. I was cautious, but I moved toward him. Detective Mathews stayed where he was. "Come here." The detective looked up and came closer to the two of us.

"Why are we here Billy?" Detective Mathews finally spoke up.

"That's an amazing question. Why are we here?" Mr. Tucker smirked and looked at me. "Do you know why we're here, Miss Barrino?"

I shook my head. "No sir."

"Well, I'm sure the two of you have heard of my wife's untimely death." I nodded my head. Detective Mathews clasped his hands and put his elbows on the table. "I'm not going to hold the two of you too long, I know you both have lives to get back to." Mr. Tucker looked up in thought. "But something is bothering me right now, and I think the both of you can help me out. Let's say hypothetically I took a man under my command and trusted him with every bit of information about me. Let's say I've given this man everything he could have wanted. I've given him good pay, healthcare for his dying father, and even the ability to live freely in this world with constant protection."
