Taraji

I went back to my villa last night to keep all of my stuff company after being gone for I don't know how long. I was spooked out yesterday after I saw that person on the beach. I couldn't stop thinking about the irregular steps they were taking and the fancy outfit they were fitted into.

There were things thrown all over my room, and nothing was in its correct place. I went around picking up all of the clothes on the floor and I straightened up things in the bathroom. We still haven't heard anything on the status of us going back home. I'm ready to be back. I'm homesick, scared, and all of the built up confidence I came on the trip with has depleted.

I fit everything I needed in my bags and put them back in the bathroom closet. I tried my hardest to keep everything in the bedroom clear in case something were to happen. We don't get cleaning or any other services unless we specifically ask to receive them, and I absolutely do not want to receive them.

Sitting back on my bed, I grabbed my phone and called my mother. It took no time for her the answer my call and I couldn't be more excited to hear her voice. "Ma!" I said excitedly. The hours for us to talk are always complete opposites and do not work. I know it was probably late in the day when I called, but I seriously needed to hear her voice.

"Hey mama's baby, how are you lovebug." She sounds much calmer than the previous times I've talked to her. If I were in any other situation, I would be terrified, but I just need to talk to her right now.

"I'm pretty ready to go home. The trip has been okay, but its stressful. I really miss you."

"I miss you more honey. I'm counting down the days until you get back on a plane and head over."

"Me too." My thoughts drifted off to times with my brother and mother. "I'm not feeling as good as I was when I got here, actually. So much has been happening over here and I'm just scared. I don't know if or when I'll ever be able to get back home, but I am going to try and do everything in my power to get me back home."

"I know it has to be scary. With that billionaire's son lost, I need you to promise me that you will stay safe."

"I will, mom."

"Promise me. The last thing I need is to lose you too."

I paused and gave a deep sigh. I held back all the tears trying to fall from my eyes. "I promise."

"Thank you. I love you, honey."

"I love you mom." My voice cracked as we hung up the phone. My vision all got blurry and I fell back into the bed with tears streaming down my face.

I was woken by a phone ring and I lifted myself up. The contact name that accompanied the ring was Reese's. "Hey." I responded, my voice still laced with tiredness.
