As soon as everyone was gone, Ga On ran upstairs to Elijah to talk to her and explain everything that just happened. But he didn't even know what to tell her, because most of all, he was ashamed of himself. He hated himself so damn much at this moment, that he seriously wanted to die.
He betrayed Yo Han only to realize that they've both been played by Jung Sun Ah and Min Jung Ho from the beginning.
To add to that, professor Min was behind Soo Hyun's death. He was so disgusted by that, that he didn't even want to think about it at this moment. For now, he chose to focus purely on Elijah and think of a plan to rescue Yo Han.
Because damn it, it's the least he could do. He owed it to him. He needed to do everything in his power to get Yo Han out of jail to show the man how sorry he was for hurting him.
"Why did they arrest him?" Elijah asked him when he crouched down in front of her. "He didn't kill anyone. I heard they accused him of killing Soo Hyun, but he didn't do it. Do they have any proof?"
"No," Ga On said to her. "I guess not. It mostly started because Sun Ah set him up and they used me to do it. I was naïve enough to be deceived by them. I-I told the police that he killed Soo Hyun."
"So it's all your fault he's gone," Elijah commented with an accusatory tone.
Of course she was right. It was his fault, and now he had to live with that. "I'm sorry, Elijah," Ga On said to her. "I'm really sorry, I didn't think. I just— I was so sure he—"
"How the hell could you even think that?" Elijah asked him, and whatever sadness she felt before was all gone now. She was angry at him. "You know him, Ga On. You know him like no one has ever gotten to know him. I don't know him as well as you do, probably. How could you think he'd be able to do something like that? You're—"
"I know," Ga On spoke, feeling even more ashamed now. "I know I screwed up, Elijah. I know I'm an idiot. I know that. That's why I need to fix this. I need to make it up to him and I'm going to bring him back. I promise you, Elijah, I will bring him home."
"You better," she said. "Or else."
He didn't even have to hear whatever more she had to say, he knew Elijah would be able to make his life a living hell then. He already lost a lot in her eyes because of hurting Yo Han, he couldn't make any more mistakes.
And bringing Yo Han home would definitely not be easy, but he needed to start somewhere.
"Ga On?" She stopped him before he could leave. "Don't even think of showing your face to me until he's home," she said, sounding very serious.
God, he screwed up so bad.
But he needed to act fast.
So the first thing that came to his mind was to go to the police and inform them that whatever he said about Yo Han killing Soo Hyun wasn't true and that he was set up by Jung Sun Ah. Obviously it didn't work, since all of those people basically worked for Sun Ah, so it was pointless to even try.
He went straight to work after that and as soon as he was at court, he went to professor Min's office. Ga On was beyond angry at this man now and he was actually surprised that Judge Min was here, since he resigned from his position recently. "Just how shameless really are you, huh?" Ga On spoke as soon as he saw him. "You dare show your face here after what you've done to Soo Hyun?"
"I didn't know Soo Hyun was going to die," professor Min defended himself.
Ga On huffed at that, finding it unbelievable. "Of course you did," he snorted. "You knew what Jung Sun Ah was planning all along, you knew she wanted to take down Yo Han and you handed her me on a silver platter so that I could help you put Yo Han in jail! You used me and you used Soo Hyun to make that crazy woman take down Kang Yo Han, and for what? What did she promise you, huh?"
