Exodus 6-10
1. A weak man
Moses and Aaron turn water to blood, the Magicians can do it too but they can only imitate the power and not reverse it like Moses; they can't compete with God. They also get played in doing this because they lose the rest of their good water.
Aaron makes all dust turn to gnats and magicians can't even copy this time.
If pharaoh can't compete and fight back against God there's no way we can.We need to humble ourselves under Gods Hand.
2. A lying Man
Frogs all over the place and Pharaoh is sick of it - looks like he's conceded and asks Moses to take them all away and promises to let slaves free. They remove the frogs and once Pharaoh is relieved he turns back on his word, 4 times he lies saying they can go free. He's literally playing with God at this point, he knows exactly what he's doing.
3. A stubborn man
Throughout all plagues Pharaohs heart is hard even after witnessing all of the signs and wonders of the Lord.
The devil refuses to let go of people once he gets a hold and the people get so set in their ways they dig their heels in and get stubborn.
Some people could see Jesus right now and still not believe they are that gripped.
You could show someone all the proof in the world about Jesus and they can still not believe - some comes down to people not wanting to believe because they are then accountable for their sins and need to repent, they would rather continue in their sin.If you don't believe right now, it's not that God hasn't done enough or made it clear enough but it's the stubbornness of the heart, you just don't want to listen. People don't want to hear it and some are scared because of repercussions in family and other elements of what they could lose.
4. A lonely man
The magicians literally said it was the finger of God that made gnats as they couldn't. They knew they were on the wrong side and even after Pharaoh was told he still didn't believe.
Moses announces hailstorm, 10:7 - Pharaoh's officials plead with him telling him to let the slaves go.
Pharaoh stands alone, his people, officials and magicians know who they are battling with and that they are no match, they're getting battered.
When's Gods judgement comes we'll have no one to stand in our corner, we can't have friends and family with us but we can have Jesus with us if we humble ourselves and trust in him. If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just and will forgive us. We don't have to be alone on judgement day.
