Zelus lifted Izuku from the ground he had dropped down to and carried him over to the bed as Chisaki tried to calm a fuming Seiji before he lost control of his quirk.

"Sei you gotta calm down,"

"Fuck that! They tried to make you leave cuz of some bitch we don't even know. For dad's replacement! They wanted you gone to make her more comfortable- fuck her! What about our comfort huh?

We were clearly uncomfortable about you leaving but her comfort is more important than ours? I knew we shouldn't have gone there, we were doing just fine on our fucking own. We don't need them, we never fucking have," Seiji ranted angrily.

After making sure Izuku was alright Zelus motioned for Chisaki to switch with him. Chisaki made his way over and continued trying to calm Izuku down and reassure him that he was staying with him.

"Seiji please calm down, your scent is working Izuku up more," Zelus told him.

Seiji turned to Izuku to see him crying and slightly hyperventilating as his angry and pained scent filled him with grief. His ears flattened against his head and his tail went between his legs as he looked down guiltily. Zelus hesitated before pulling Seiji into an awkward hug and rubbing his back gently.

"I know you're upset but you have to understand that they didn't know him leaving would affect you so much. I'm sure they don't think she's more important they just wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable," Zelus told him.

"You didn't see how they looked at him, from the moment we walked in they looked at him with disgust. I could smell it coming off them in waves, if they can't accept him then they should stay the hell away from us," Seiji said angrily.

"Look at it from their perspective, Chisaki is to her what I am to you, it may not have been as bad but he did hurt her. They don't know him the way you do, they haven't seen his change and growth.

To them, he's still the man who hurt that little girl, the way they feel toward him is the same way they feel toward me. I've been working to atone for what I did but he never got that chance. The last time they saw each other he had hurt her, think about how she'd feel seeing him with only bad memories," Zelus said gently.

The darkness in Seiji's eyes never left, "I get that but I don't care about her or how she feels, she's nothing to us. This is about dad, he needs his pack and his parents right now, a stranger has no business being there. This is our time with our family, it's private and heavily sensitive. They know that yet they still tried to make him leave for someone that should not be there," he stressed.

"Seiji..."

"We don't know her and quite frankly I don't want her there, what we had to go through is not something I want an outsider to know. I am sick and tired of everything thinking dad should accommodate others. He won't be selfish and say how he truly feels and thinks so I will.

We don't want her around, they may have adopted her but to us, she's still a stranger, not our family. Dad was ripped away from his parents, you know how badly he cried out for them every single day. We hadn't even been reunited for an hour before they tried to bring their new child.

It's like they didn't even care about dad or how he'd feel knowing not long after he disappeared they adopted a new child. It's not like they found and rescued her like they did dad, Uncle Kai had turned himself in a year before we even got kidnapped.

They went to an agency and looked for another child, they intended to get a new kid. I'm not saying they can't give other kids a home but what they did was fucking wrong. It's like they didn't even consider that dad may have felt like they replaced him.

They could have waited until the time was right and told him but they didn't because they clearly don't care," Seiji continued to rant loudly.

"Seiji I understand, your upset because they unknowingly hurt your dam, and you have every right to be but what matters most right now is making sure that Izuku is ok. You can get angry on his behalf after we make sure he's ok and ask him how he truly feels," Zelus told him.

Seiji calmed himself down, "Alright..."

Izuku was laying down and opened his arms for Seiji as he hurried over. He got onto the bed and laid on his chest gently rubbing his stomach as he took in Izuku's scent.

"Are the pups ok?"

"They're fine just a little upset from all the excitement,"

"I'm sorry dad...I let my anger get the best of me and blew up again. I didn't realize I was upsetting you," Seiji apologized.

Izuku kissed his forehead, "It's ok, I know you only got angry because I got sad but it was only because Kai was trying to leave. I just didn't like that he was so willing, to please them even though they were being nasty to him. They don't know he's in the pack so they probably think we haven't picked up on it,"

"Why would they even say that shit? Even if they think he can't hear them they should know that we can," Seiji huffed trying not to get mad.

Izuku sighed, "I'm starting to think I should have listened to you...they really aren't the same anymore,"

"No, what I said was wrong, I shouldn't have tried to keep you from your loved ones," Zelus shook his head.

"I do love them but if they can't accept Kai then I think it's best we love each other from a distance. Hopefully, they can get to know him the way we do but for now, I don't know. I want Sachi to get to know her family but I'm not sure if it'll be what's best for her.

I don't want her to be the type of person I used to be, I don't want her to do or experience the things I did at her age. I wasn't able to protect you from that and it will always be my biggest regret. I want her to have a better life than we did, I never want her to get blood on her hands," Izuku held Seiji close.

"Don't say that dad, you did what you had to do to protect our family. I pray that we won't ever have to take a life but if the time ever comes I know that we won't hesitate. That doesn't make us bad or evil it just means that we're willing to protect the people that we love and care about," Seiji sat up.

"Let's just hope that we're never put in a position where killing is the only option. And if it is leave that to me, you shouldn't ever have to do something like that. I should be the only one carrying around that kind of burden," Izuku told him.

Seiji shook his head, "Stop that, no more sacrificing yourself for people,"

"I'm your Dam, I'm supposed to-"

"You're our Dam but we're not kids anymore dad, it's our turn to protect you. You're always risking your life for everyone else and it's not fair to you. Let us be your hero like you've always been ours," Seiji told him.

Izuku chuckled, "Alright alright, I guess I can be the damsel in distress for a while,"
