Y/N's POV
I slowly open my eyes, heavy with sleep, and I hear the dreadful sound of my alarm clock blasting that awful rooster sound. I turned it off, rolled over, and closed my eyes again. I'm a first year here and I moved into my dorm at Mondstadt University yesterday. It's not a bad dorm. In fact, its actually very spacious. I'm still trying to get used to it. School starts in 3 days, so hopefully I'm used to it by then. I reluctantly rolled out of bed after about 10 minuets of laying down with my eyes closed, trying desperately to prolong getting up as long as possible.
Today is the day that my roommate moves in. I cross my fingers that she'll actually be a good room mate and not some messy asshole who screams all day and night and prevents me from sleeping. Either way, I really don't want to look like a mess in front of her. If I greeted her like this, she'd probably think IM the messy asshole. I get up and pick out an outfit, then i change and do my hair. I make myself some eggs and bacon when suddenly i hear a knock at the door. A moment later, I hear the sound of a key turning inside the lock, and the door opens.
I see a girl with long dark brown hair and a red bow. She's a bit short and she has on brown shorts with a white shirt, and a red cardigan. This must be my roommate. This is a bit awkward...I didn't expect her to come so early and I'm still eating. Damn, I knew I shouldn't have laid down for those extra 10 minuets. Oh well, hopefully she wont mind.
"Helloooo!" She says cheerfully carrying her stuff inside the dorm room and looking around to examine the place. Her beautiful amber colored eyes scanning looking quite satisfied with the room she's been given.
"My name is Amber! what's your name?" She says putting her stuff down and walking up to me. Well, she certainly seems friendly. I was a little skeptical of having a roommate since you never really know what type of person you are going to get, so I'm glad she seems nice.
"My name is y/n!" I respond trying to match her upbeat energy.
"Its nice to meet you!" She says as she gets her suitcases and puts it in her room. The suitcases are white with red stripes. It matches her quite nicely. Then she comes back and sits at the table with me.
"Want some eggs and bacon?" I offer her.
"Oh sorry, I already ate with some friends at Good Hunter earlier so I'm really full." She politely declined. She then made a "hmm" sound as she crossed her arms and looked like she was thinking for a little bit before finally speaking up.
"I know this is a bit sudden, but me and my friends are going to a bar called Angels share later. I know we don't really know each other, but this would be the perfect chance to get to know each other better! Would you want to come with me? If drinking isn't your thing than we can go somewhere else. I promise my friends are really nice! And they go here too."
(A.N: Google says the drinking age in Mondstadt is either 18 or 16 like it is in Germany and all of the characters in this story are 18 or older)
Wow. Inviting someone you just met a couple minuets ago to go to a bar with you and your friends is certainly bold. Honestly, I'm usually not the type of person who enjoys going to bars and stuff. I'm actually more of an introvert, and I'm certainly not nearly as upbeat as this Amber girl is. I want to turn her down but...
"Sure!" I say faster then I can think. Why in the world would I agree to that?? Okay I didn't mention this earlier, but i've never ACTUALLY been to a bar before. I have had drinks before, but not at the bar. Then again, who knows? Maybe it will turn out to be fun? After all, I'm in college now. I guess i should try and push myself to do new things.
"Great! We are going at around 6! I'll drive us there. You are going to have SO much fun I promise!" She says excitedly as she goes to her room to unpack her stuff.
I expected to at least make it to the first day of school before i went out of my comfort zone like this, but hey I'm not complaining. The more i think about it, the more I'm actually starting to get excited. I mean, sure it's scary meeting new people, but hopefully all of Ambers friends are as friendly as she is.
I go into my room and look up at the analog clock hanging from the wall of my room. Its only 8:00am and Amber said we are going at 6:00pm. Since I have loads of time decide to sit on my bed, pull out my phone, and I start scrolling on social media.
Authors note: Wow I haven't written on here in YEARS but I'm back now and if this story gets a lot of reads then maybe ill stay. Also i know this chapter didn't have Venti in it and not much happened but TRUST it will get more interesting.
